I'm all for tagging along on more scouting trips. Your channel is Outside with Tom not catching catfish and carp in the same old places with Tom. Thanks for showing me some of your local River banks.
Glad you enjoyed it, more to come!
this is why i love fishing! every session is like a new adventure you never know what you will find! great video Tom
So its not only me that does "dumb" stuff like this as a fifty year old! Nice spots, looking forward to seeing more!
Never lose that sense of adventure. Anybody who says activities like this are dumb has either lost their sense of adventure or never had it in the first place. Thanks for watching!
Scouting is so important and one of the most overlooked parts of carp fishing in particular. I just finished a campaign at a local lake that required me kayaking a couple of miles a day to bait and setup for bank fishing. I was awarded for my efforts with a PB mirror of 15 lbs. Going the extra mile (pun intended) can make all the difference. Just not many options here for bank fishing, so sometimes you got to make it happen. Thoroughly enjoyed this, and I am glad to see you putting in the effort. I guarantee you it will pay off.
Cool bike!
That sounds like quite an adventure, congrats on the PB mirror! It's always nice when hard work gets rewarded like that. Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks!
It's gonna be super cool to see you pack all your fishing gear on that bike and take off!
That's the plan!
Agreed!!
Great adventure Tom, thanks!! Can't wait for the underwater vids from the new spots. Those honey holes look so inviting and undisturbed. Enjoyed the ride taking you out and about, plus the fishing input. I'm with seeing how you load up your gear, 'cause I know it will be trick and give me ideas. Nice ride!!!! The moment of stillness was awesome!! 🐉I think those might be chairs at the camp site. Bigfoot chairs, be Yeti safe!! 👹
It was quite an adventure indeed, glad you enjoyed it! Thanks James!
Pretty jealous of the first wing dam spot, I feel that it will produce for you. It would be an interesting spring and over night spot.
I can't wait to see how that spot works out! Thanks Scott.
very cool, I'm all for seeing more scouting trips and I guess if you uploaded this video that means you made it back. That bike seems pretty rugged.
More to come!
Enjoyed that.
Glad you enjoyed, thanks!
Like the e-bike scouting.
I have a Jansno X50 ebike that I set up with a bike trailer. I can haul all my fishing gear, folding chair, tarp cover and it works great. Those look like some sweet trails.
Nice 👍
Good video, enjoyed the scenery. The E bike works great. Sometimes it takes a while to find some good spots. Adventures of Indiana Tom?
😁
That ebike is one tough dude. You gave it a hard test ride.
I was pretty impressed!
Looked like a fun day. I have trouble finding access to the Missouri as well, mainly because public access is very restricted. The E-bike is an interesting option.
That river is a beast! Good luck!
Cool video Tom
Glad you liked it, thanks!
Good video Tom, never heard of wing dams before so they are there to slow the water down?? Will be interesting to see how you set your bike up to haul your gear. Let this old guy give you some advice Tom the next time you go by that brush craft camp if you hear banjos get the hell out of there .
Those wingdams are intended to direct water to the center of the channel to help with barge navigation. Kind of a relic, as I don't think there has been any barge traffic in this area for decades. I will definitely keep my ears tuned for banjos. 😁
I ride an electric bike on trails and levees all around the st. Louis area and I've seen some crazy stuff and caught blue catfish up to 80 pounds
Also that's what I fish I fish off the wing dams you can cast to all the good spots there's monster carp and buffalo to
It's definitely easier in spring and fall
That sweet smell is big foot perfume. Or somebody's grow plot. I'm going leave that bush
Walking to you young dudes.
Maybe it's Bigfoot's grow plot. 😁
Did you get any ticks going through all that brush
Nope
