How do you change a battery in a fsa 45 trimmer?

Hi, Kenneth. Thanks for reaching out! The STIHL FSA 45 trimmer is powered by an integrated lithium-ion battery that cannot be removed from the power tool.

Why do I have to put on gloves during assembly?

Thank you! The instructions that came with it weren't very clear to me :)

I don't how well it works with the string, but it does not work at all
for me for edging with the plastic orange blades. I couldn't make it
down one side of my driveway with replacing the orange blades 3 times!
I'd have to have 2 dozen pairs of blades to do all the edging and
trimming around my house for just 1 time! Also the idea of an internal
battery is very stupid. Good luck if the amount you have to do takes
longer than the run time the battery gives you! With an external
battery, you could just buy another batter and switch batteries once the
first one runs out of power. With an internal battery, if the battery
runs out of juice, you have to wait for the thing to recharge before
completing your work. Finally if the internal battery gets to a point
where it can no longer hold a charge, instead of buying a new battery,
you have to buy a whole new unit.

I have found that the blades break constantly. Stay away from this make of Strimmer

Blades will wear faster if you contact a solid object such as a fence, side of house, or brick. They will wear well and equally when trimming grass, as the product was intended.

I bought one for my mom for mothers day, big mistake, 2.5 hours to charge, then dies after 15 minutes, she changed the blades 3 times, and it shutoff because it overheated, total junk, $130 wasted
