It's both. 2 episodes are coming out, different versions of chapter 3. 1 version is the decay version and the other is the burial route.

There should not even be a decay or bad alternative ending for chapter 3 especially with Andrew involved since COAAL already ended with decay for chapter 1-2 while burial is the only reason why there is a chapter 3
Burial seems to be the correct or true path for COAAL, Andrew/Andy and Ashley/Leyley
I hope nothing bad happens to the main characters and their relationships.
