One thing about Avril Lavigne is that when she sings other people's songs, she doesn't try to sound like them. She does it as if she made the song. Love that.

No I’m a performer and her voice is shaking, I think she kept her singing basic because she is nervous AF because of her love and respect for GGD and Johnny. I love Avril I’m not putting her down, I’m actually pointing out how beautiful it is to see her nervous next to someone she admires so much.

Their concert in a downpour in Buffalo proves this. They destroyed tens of thousands in equipment because the fans were in the rain too. Fact : I only own one CD. It is always in my stereo.

I’ve seen Johnny perform Iris with other female artists but none of them can touch the magic performed between him & Avril, imo. Perfection right here & so beautifully done.
Because she’s singing in the original key and they didn’t have to rearrange it for another artist to match their pitch.

I love how Avril & Evan look quite nervous at first but then johnny gives them reassurance by playing with them, like playing guitar near Evan & bumped Avril playfully. After that evan plays guitar confidently & avril's tension eases a bit.

What a perfect music duo
The first night i spent with my significant other, I told him that this song got a new meaning for me. A 20 years age gap relationship, that lasted 4 years. He never wanted the world to see us, but he is the closest to heaven that i will ever be, he passed away on 2020 when he was in a relationship with someone else.
