@@LadyShaula Thank you for your reply. I wanted to know, do you normally choose the high key (or original key)? E.g., Wolf's Fussreise's original key is F, I think, would you sing it in that key, or would you use a higher key for your voice?
Sorry, it's originally in D, upon checking.
@@ngwee1 I sing/teach in original keys wherever possible. As a composer, I'm very aware of the NATURE of keys, not just the comfort. If you swap a song from F, to E for example, you have changed the inherent quality of the key.
@@LadyShaula That's what Gerald Moore also said about the colour of various keys. I guess that's why, e.g., Verdi Prati is in the key it's in.
