“Alright” lol love that guy, I pray Frankie would find happiness, love, and understanding through Christ
I love him too!

I hope he finds it in reality
And Salvation.
I hope he finds repentance.
Frankie wasn’t really an atheist. He was an agnostic. He just wasn’t sure about his beliefs.
Not to burst your bumble, you can't be in the middle, you can't believe in God and not be an atheist, i will give an example, you can't love the world and God at the same time.

I enjoyed watching this video. It shows that we can and should always have a loving spirit when you try to talk to someone about God's Word especially to those who aren't saved.
If a person refuses to hear you speak the Word to them, then as the scriptures say, "shake the dust from your feet (Matthew 10:14)." I'd pray on my own that an individual or a group would be saved.
"we can and should always have a loving spirit"

Someone in this comment section claimed that when they encounter atheists, they seem surly and standoffish. Listen to what you just said. That's probably why. Atheists don't usually care about your religion and are constantly approached by people like you who want to have the same old conversations and preach at them. How often does someone come running up to you telling you about the joy you could have in your life if you'd just led go if this silly Jesus delusion? Probably not too often, and you'd probably start to get kind of annoyed if it DID happen all the time. To an atheist, you are the equivalent of an obnoxious door to door salesman or telemarketer. You have nothing of interest for most of them and are nothing but a nuisance... just to give you some perspective.

Great!
I love how this video was put together! Teaching one how to share the gospel with the other.
It's good to see folks come face-to-face with the truth: I've seen some folks quickly convert to deism from atheism, so to speak, when faced with the universe having an origin.
Combined with the existence of objective morality (we can see how this fellow quickly is disgusted when the idea of truly unfettered hedonism is laid more bare) and how we fall short of it: folks get thinking.
God gives the increase, not us: still we are commanded to share His word and go farming, whether it's watering or harvesting.

How does going to hell not concerns you. I don't get that as for me that freaks me out.
If you do not believe in the existence of Hell there is nothing to frighten you.
@Evolution is fact I must be very lucky not to have been scared witless by some priest/pastor in my youth. Perhaps my age has inured me to the effects of such people.
If you are a good person you are NOT going to hell. At some time Jesus will convince you of His truth ..... Some take longer than others and need more convincing ... God will not abandon any of His children and condemn them to Hell. However ... There are some that are made for the pit .. They are the irredeemable, those that have knowingly and willingly "souled"out to Satan. The Fallen, Lucifer, the seeds of Satan .... It is a rotten thing to start out with a line like "aren't you afraid of going to Hell" .... Because it's WRONG ..
@@justiceisnow3162 That's not quite what the bible says. It's a feel good spin, and not necessarily a new one, but in no way is "being a good person" enough to grant you entry into heaven according to the bible. Being a good person for it's own sake is more of a secular humanist notion than a Christian one. Christianity celebrates faith over deeds. Part of you recognizes the arbitrary nature of faith - of being being convinced of something. You don't think faith that is something that should determine your worth as a person, but that's the opposite of what the bible says. Your personal beliefs are in conflict with scripture. It's something that is becoming more and more common. It's something you might want to take some time to reconcile.
@@justiceisnow3162 I am unsure of where you got this information. It is said by Jesus that the goats and sheep will be separated. He also says that some will go to Hell! This is a real place and not some fanciful imaginative place. You must read the word and you will know what I am saying is absolutely true. If you need quotes I will send them your way..
Such a wonderful plea from God, His love is wonderful and powerful
Body of Christ remember in Mark 16:15-16 Jesus taught us to preach the Gospel to every person.
Also, it is up to them whether they accept our message and be saved or reject it and condemn themselves.
So don’t be discouraged when they reject it. It might not be their “day of salvation” but hopefully it isn’t during the Great Tribulation.
The Holy Spirit is the one who convicts of sin and regenerates an individual we don’t do anything but simply preach the Gospel.
It doesn’t matter whether they get saved or not because at the Bema Seat of Christ will get rewarded for our obedience.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness
Mark 16:15 Go out and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation
Hello Ray,
Thank you for sharing your experiences with us! Really great to learn how to evangelize.
I still had a short comment though.
The text be swift to hear and slow to speak is about in conversations with people mostly. I do not think it applies to prayer, because the Bible also says pray without ceasing. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and Jesus also said that we should persevere in prayer through the parable of the widow and the unrighteous judge.
Although I know that you do not mean to discourage people to pray, the way you compare prayer with bible-reading seems to me to be out of place, because it seems like you would want people to pray less than to read bible. Of course both are really important.
God bless you in your efforts!
Greetings from Stefan
I don't think he meant that the way you took it. I think he was simply pointing out to her that reading her bible is something she should start doing because it's how we hear God speak. Nevertheless, God bless you and yours. Take care.
Perhaps you’ve heard it’s a good idea to listen more and speak less. And that, while anger is not always sinful, we ought always be slow to it. Certainly, such virtues are to be commended. But have we really understood James’s intentions when he speaks of these things?
Context matters. If we learn to read the Bible for what it is-and not as a collection of independently assembled proverbial sayings-we’ll discover that some of our most familiar passages don’t actually mean what we’ve always assumed.
The Verse
You may have already figured out which verse I have in mind:
Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger. (James 1:19)
The verse seems clear enough, right? It’s a perfect memory verse for the angry person or jabbering child. But have you considered what it is James wants you to hear more quickly? And what does he want you to be slower to speak about? And what does he expect you’ll be angry about?
The Problem
James’s writing style differs from other New Testament authors, especially those who wrote letters. Where other authors make liberal use of logical connectors (for, therefore, because, so that, etc.), James relies more on his content to move his argument forward.
Commentators often compare James’s letter with Old Testament wisdom literature, because James draws on similar techniques (poetic metaphor, pithy wording, practical application) in his writing. But we must not forget that wisdom literature-be it Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Job, or James-always tries to make us think. The message is not always in your face or vibrantly presented. The message is something you’re supposed to ponder.
So the “problem” with James is that he doesn’t spell out how he gets from one idea to the next. He expects us to think about it and notice his careful verbal connections. His thought is less like a train and more like a gently flowing river; sometimes we need to paddle a bit, but we can always drift along behind James’s lead raft. He’ll drop clues into the water for us pick up so we don’t lose him at the next fork.
The Argument
James begins his letter with his main idea: “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds” (James 1:2). James wants to help us. He doesn’t want us to be surprised when trials come. We ought not be discouraged or depressed. We need eyes to see what God is doing in those trials. This perspective is one of “all joy.”
As we work through James’s argument from here, we should observe how each new paragraph (and sometimes each sentence) takes a key word or idea from the previous paragraph to expand on.
Trials make us steadfast (James 1:3), and the effect of this steadfastness is to make us perfect and complete, lacking in nothing (James 1:4).
One thing we lack is wisdom, but we can ask for it (James 1:5).
When we ask (James 1:6), we can expect to receive something-wisdom, and joy in trials-from the Lord (James 1:7-8).
But when we think of receiving something from the Lord, we typically think of material wealth. We must remember that both poverty (James 1:9) and riches (James 1:10-11) are trials in themselves. We must view them rightly to count them all joy.
The greatest wealth is not found in riches (or poverty) but in the blessing that God promises to those who remain steadfast (James 1:12).
Another trial is related to how we understand our trials! When undergoing trial, we tend to doubt God’s promises and charge him with doing wrong by us (James 1:13).
But God never does wrong by us; any wrong comes from the evil desire that sprouts within (James 1:14-15).
In other words, what we say about our trials really matters. Let us never say God is responsible for the evil that comes from within us.
For example: While it may be appropriate for someone to say that God is the cause of their season of singleness (he put me here in what feels like a trial), it is never appropriate to say that God is the cause of their lust problem (if he hadn’t put me in this season, I wouldn’t have this temptation).
We must not be deceived, failing to see God as our unchanging Father who gives us good and perfect gifts (James 1:16-17).
One of those good and perfect gifts is to make us good and perfect through steadfastness in trial (back up to James 1:4). This could also be described as a new birth, which he grants us through his word of truth (James 1:18).
Back to the Verse
So when we finally reach James 1:19, having walked through the chapter to that point, we see a few things:
We must be “quick to hear” the word of truth (James 1:18) that declares who God is (James 1:17), who we are (James 1:14-15), and what God is doing in us through trials (James 1:3-4).
We must be “slow to speak” words of criticism about the God (James 1:13) who brings us trials (James 1:2) to make us steadfast (James 1:12), perfect and complete (James 1:4).
We must be “slow to anger” toward the Father of lights (James 1:17), who gives generously (James 1:5), promises assuredly (James 1:12), and transforms us personally (James 1:18).
The Argument Moves On
Your anger toward God will never produce the righteousness in you God desires (James 1:20). Put away your stubborn and rebelliously self-centered interpretations of your trials-which are filthy and rampantly wicked-and receive the word of God which speaks to your trials (James 1:21). And don’t just listen, but actually do it; let God’s word change your perspective and make you truly steadfast in trial (James 1:22-25). When you’re ready to bridle your tongue, and speak of your trials (even your religion) the same way God does in his word (James 1:26), you’ll be transformed to move out beyond yourself to serve the weakest among you (James 1:27).
Conclusion
So while James 1:19 remains a marvelous memory verse, it might be helpful to know James especially has in mind our listening to God, our speaking about God, and our anger toward God. We must deal with this before we’ll be equipped to love our neighbor (James 1:27, and on into chapter 2).
@@Deewayne2K18 Take a look at my posts for what James was really saying
I think the said passage tends to create confusion (at the least it genders questions about Jesus) in its presentation: why call me good??? This seems to imply that Jesus wasn't good. I guess I just think that it needs to be explained further somewhat, so as to not give the implication or impression that Jesus was not God in the flesh.
I always pray for very one to give there life’s to Christ may god help people to build there relationship with god and are lord Jesus Christ before it’s to late may the peace of are lord Jesus Christ be with are hearts and souls and mind

D Otero stop, why bring politics into this?! Do you think the Lord Jesus Christ cares if you’re a conservative or liberal?! I’ve heard Trump say blasphemy. You’re still focused on worldly things.
@@renaissancefitness3515I've obviously struck a nerve or you wouldn't be so upset. Let's just call it secular education that denies the Creator and indoctrinates our youth with the lies of this world. Recognizing that our educational systems want nothing to do with Christian ideals is not a political statement, it's common knowledge. I didn't bring politics, and even the President into this, you did.
Here is the simple definition of liberal: open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values. Nothing in this definition hints of politics.
As Christian's we have a certain set of values given to us by God which are written down in the Bible. We are not to depart from them and replace them with secular values. Your accusation is false.
D Otero No nerves struck. You know exactly what you’re doing. Nothing you can say or do could ever bother me in any way shape or form. God bless you, I love you.
Did anyone notice Ray replied to the lady when she said to obey the commandments he said no? We still have to obey the moral law not the ceremonial law
What if you break one of these 'moral laws', do you still have salvation?
Context is important. Ray asked why did Jesus ask the rich young ruler about the commandments? She replied bc we need to follow them. Ray said no replying to her answer. The REASON Jesus presented the 10 commandments was so the rich young ruler could know that ge had broken God's Law not so He would follow them. Should we break the commandments? No. And that isnt what Ray was saying, he was stating that the reason Jesus presented the commandments was to expose the mans sin. So by saying no he was saying no that wasnt the reason, not no we shouldnt follow them.
@@wvayvay4370 Yes(you still have Salvation), for the calling and gifts of God ate irrevocable accourding to Paul.
@@n.holt7 My bible in Matthew 19:20, the man said he had kept these commandments. Therefore, according to the Law, the young ruler was found righteous because he had kept them. (now wether or not he actually had, who knows, but Paul said he was righteous based on the mosaic law in Philippians 3:6. I believe Paul, so it is likely the young ruler had also kept the law or else the Prophet would of called him out).
In verse 21, Jesus tells him what he must do to be perfect, and that was to 'go and sell all and give to the poor'. Barnabas did this in Acts 4:36-37.
It wasn't the law that Jesus found fault with the young ruler, it was he didn't believe Jesus when He said sell all and follow me. Appearenly, the young ruler didn't believe God would take care of him, like God did with his fathers in the desert for forty years after Egypt.
All I know is that Paul brought 9 of the 10 commandments forward. Why teach a gentile he is a sinner based upon the Mosaic Law, when scripture is clear,,, by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, Romans 5:12. But the gift of grace is not like the offense, Romans 5:15-21.
@@wvayvay4370 If you listen to what Ray is talking about he often says you and I have broken Gods laws so we are all guilty But the gospel is that if we accept what Jesus did for us I.e he paid our price so we can be legally released from death row, but if we don't then we won't
🙌🏾🙌🏾
I’ve been an atheist for most of my life I don’t want to burn in hell for all eternity although I do know most likely that’s where I’m going to go if I get killed.
Oh the irony right? You fear the consequences of the after life yet at the same time, your selfish pride forces you to be an atheist. Eternal salvation is a free gift and to acquire it, all you have to do is believe in jesus christ as your savior. Yet most people can't even do this. Why? Because I believe not everyone is meant to be saved.
If you don't love and praise him, he will have you tortured forever. What part of that says loving god or that he should be praised?
@Evolution is fact I understand this. But true christianity has nothing to do with being in a religion. It's what in your heart that counts. There's alot false religion out there such as JWs, mormons, 7 day adventists, etc. Alot wolves in sheeps clothing. They all claim to be the chosen religion of god. Yet no where in the bible does it say gods chooses. And if that's the reason why alot people became atheists, then they need to stop and think, that shouldn't be the reason to deter you from god.
No Andrew ... God is Merciful and will not abandon any of His children .. Even those who have slept thru their lives to the truth of God and Jesus. It is called the Judgement Day when all truth is revealed to the dead and the living. Only those destined for the pit of eternal fire or utter oblivion such as Lucifer, the Fallen Angels and all those who have willingly and knowningly served Satan will be destroyed. There are rewards for seeking and finding God and Jesus in this life ..... In the end ALL GOOD PEOPLE will be redeemed to the Father ... "Every knee will bow and every tongue confess" ... Its just a matter of when ....IMHO ... Good luck on your journey ... You will find God if you earnestly search and open your heart and mind ... Especially in these days .... Get a King James Bible and read Ephesians 1 and 2 ..And find out who you really are . And read the Gospels to find out who Jesus was ...
It's not a lot of reading and you will be astonished .... Cheers ..
Yes ... You're right Evolution ... Organized "Religions" have distorted or completely misrepresented or even hidden spiritual truths. As Tang said .. Jesus is not a "religion" .... I was an atheist most of my life .. I discovered Jesus thru the bible alone ... No church ... No religion

Very thankful for you Ray. You’re model in Christ is a tremendous blessing.
The law of the Old Covenant was much more than only 10 commandments. It were in full 613 commandments with only 10 being the first and most important of them. By the way: the laws of the old covenant are mostly not the same as in the new covenant, e.g. to keep the Sabbath and the rules about which meat is allowed to be eaten. What's in the new covenant, you won't find in the Old Testament, but in the New, and not before Jesus' death, but after it, thus mostly in the letters of the apostles.
The Old Covenant is fulfilled since Jesus' death, so it doesn't apply to us, but the New Covenant does, so we have to study the commandments of the New Testament. They apply to us.
