As a german baseball fan, I love seeing you talking about Max. He’s giving this wonderful sport a face here in Germany. When the twins reached the play offs German media focused a lot more on it, because of him.
Baseball is very far from being popular here, which is really sad. But I hope that he can stay healthy and have an amazing career. Having someone who is good at a non European sport helps pushing its popularity.

I was so stoked back in 2009. We signed Kepler, Polanco, and Sano all at 16 years old. All within about a week of eachother.

As a German, I just found Baseball for myself because of Bill Burr's love for the sport and I've been wondering which team I should be rooting for, because finding any thing on CZcams about German Baseball is actually very hard, since there is nothing out there to look at from this country, but now I know what team to root for, the one Max Kepler's in :)
Not sure if this was mentioned earlier, but the Berlin Wall only separated Berlin into East and West Berlin, and not Germany itself. The city of Berlin was actually situated entirely within East Germany. West Berlin was effectively a democratic enclave within East Germany.

I got to see him play when he was in the Minors (AA Chattanooga Lookouts), and he looked pretty good. Him, Sano, and Buxton. The spine of the new look Twins.
I got to see him play in (AAA) Rochester i remeber him hitting probably the longest home run ive even seen i person on my birthday a couple years back

Bauer means farmer in German. I wish there was some way to use that fact to say something clever or ironic given how Kepler treated him, but I can't think of anything.

First off, a ballet dancer is an athlete. My track/CC coach at uni had us take ballet. It is hard, very athletic and better balance. Yes, he had all of us on the men's team do it. Not sure if he had a side deal with the ballet teacher.

As an American living in Germany, + a huge baseball fan, I've been aware of, and intrigued by, Max Kepler for a few seasons now. He went to John F. Kennedy high school in Berlin, so I assumed that was where he was exposed to baseball, but the tie in with his mother's American experience makes that exposure more interesting. Is she an American or not? One of her parents must have been in the American military. Maybe not...
He is pretty new on the national scene, but his 2019 season was no surprise to Twins fans.

if he hadn't got hurt last season he would really have been known. like many of the other Twins he was hitting home runs left and right. Also I got to see that game against Bauer and the look on his face after the 5th one was amazing and led to some great memes

Max Kepler isn’t really German. He was just born there to an American and a polish couple. He has an American accent and says he isn’t even fluent in German
