so many riders went down there during practice. I can't wait to see how it plays out during the race. I'm sure there will be a nice line cut in there, but the first day people were trying to find that line.
Hey John - any chance you have the resources to film some of the U21s sometime? - I'm sure people would watch, always good to see the up and comers... (plus I know someone people in that category) 👍🏼🙏🏻😁
God damn, this has to be one of the sketchiest tracks I've seen them race. Almost every section seems super fast super high consequence. Fingers crossed for riders on race day they make it down safe
I've been watching the RAW vids and I noticed that the women seem to ride the new, off-camber section better than the men. I don't know if it's because they are lighter on their wheels, or just use more finesse, but I think it's a combination of all that. The men seem to try and use brute force to cut thru the off-camber before they make that right turn crossing the fall line. The women seem to flow more natural and take it high, and make the turn wide.
Great observation. It's something to notice at every race. Watching the men and women back-to-back, it's clear how much faster the men go - accompanied by quite a lot more body english. Presumably to be able to go that fast and keep the bike in check.
@@nickv3085 It was a great race and I was surprised at the times the women were putting down. I've been riding for years and I think I'm pretty good, but even the slowest woman on that course is faster than me.
Rachel is just perfect through that off camber section again today, even going for an overtake!
Yeah that was awesome, lots of exit speed and control. Hoping we see her racing!
@izzy b - rachel is racing, she qualified 7th today! so stoked
Rachel has been the highlight of race coverage so far for me, awesome to see her back... insanely skilled rider!
Speed and Power. There is no better mtb videos than vital raw world cup dh with tacky dirt.
That Rock section in the beginning really showed the differences in technique.
Awesome footage 🤙🏼
Bruh that off camber grass rock section is straight evil

Rachel looks smooth, and in control.... That makes her dangerous. Stoked to see her at it again.

First sections whisler needs to give it some more enthusiasm! Saddest whistle ever haha
So happy to watch Rachel back on track.
Top 20 oosh! great coverage. Cant wait for race day. Tho I could sit all day watching the off camber roots section pucker up the riders

These guys and gals are the modern-day gladiators. Tackling the fearsome unknown for our entertainment.
And without the painful deaths fortunately.

Likely a result of riding slower
@@nickv3085 I think you're probably right. Sometimes you have to slowdown to go faster.

@@JubeProductions No, that wasn't the point and you know that lol.
