- A river expert (Connie Selleca), her boyfriend (Matt McCoy), and her children (Anthony De Filippo, Alana Austin) go on a river rafting trip. But things go awry when they are taken captive by escaped convicts searching for stolen money.

I'm starting to be drawn to these older movies more and more, just to see how people used to be, no cell phones, laptops or computers in sight.
The acting is better to.
1999, so not even that long ago either.
I had none of those devices as a child and it was awesome

Great cast. I love Connie Selleca. And the daughter Alana Austin was in a movie called A Simple Twist of Fate with Steve Martin. She is a great little actress. This is a good story.

It's surprising they tried to help an escaped inmate without knowing who he was. The waters and woods proved to be dangerous for this family on a rafting trip.
And then we’re fine with killing the two alive ones lol

This always annoyed me about movies if someone trying to kill you. don't hit them once hit them until their dead, Have you seen perfect murder with Michael Douglas?
So many single and divorced parents that are so irresponsible by putting Strangers in their children lives...these type of parents should do a deep revision in their life choices!!!
Reading the comments before I started the movie I thought the kids were small. It wasn't their 1st time on the water. Seems to be a pretty good movie.

Matt McCoy ( Bob ) also played in the awesome Sasquatch horror film called ABOMINABLE. That was an amazing movie. This movie was a great one too. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I told myself the moment Bob wanted to stay in the woods instead of going to get help for the unconscious inmate that he was probably involved. Also had a feeling he stabbed him because he appeared out of nowhere when Gus heard that noise. But that comment about hitting somebody once is something that irritates me too.🤣🤣 The moment I hit you and you go down you can guarantee I’m gon’ keep hitting until the person is dead. You hit them once and they pop back up like Michael Myers. This was definitely worth the watch though.😩

This turned out to be a better movie than I had first thought. But why do the good guys hit the bad guy only once when they have a chance to beat him up? Keep hitting till he's done instead of hitting just once and turning around to run.You are giving the bad guy another chance to come after you this way. This kind of scene happens in too many movies. Of course, I understand the writers don't want to finish the movie right there but it's oftentimes frustrating.
How ridiculous things are is what makes these sorts of films fun though. They're not good movies but fun.
They could have killed him numerous times, ganged up and got the gun or escaped.
It's a trope. You gotta kill the bad guy - or else! It's a plot element or driver of films made in one particular country. It's not reality. Its the way certain stories are constructed.

The beginning of this movie has some static just as a warning if you are wearing earbuds.

I’ve had the hots for McCoy since I seen him on Murder She Wrote with Pearl as his wife. He had his shirt off and told his newly bride,” Cmon over her and comfort your new husband.” He was sexy on there as he is on here with his pretty eyes, nice smile, and white teeth. Pointed nose too. My grandma loved Murder She Wrote.
Did you see Jim Caviezel in MSW? So young. Love him in The Count of Monte Cristo and Frequency. Similar look to this guy who played the creepy Bob.
