Germany is under water..!! A devastating flood turned the Saarland into a river
Devastating floods in the Southwestern German state of Saarland, on the border with France. In the flooded town of Rußhütte, even fire engines were submerged in water. This road had turned into a rushing river and people were fleeing their homes in droves.
Extreme rainfall caused major inconvenience in Luxembourg, northern France and Germany. On Friday, May 17 2024, rainfall was more than 70 mm on a large scale, even locally reaching 130 mm. In several areas, conditions are very similar to the situation in July 2021, but until now it has not rained much.
