I know you're not certain the CF top bumper mount is "better"...so, leg me help 'convince' you:
    1) I'm willing to bet that the CF part is lighter than the plastic part. As such, installing the CF part just lowered (albeit, only slightly) your CoG.
    2) The CF part is definitely 'stronger' than the plastic part. As such, not only can it "hold up" to more 'abuse', but it's far less likely to break (well...unless the car is in a "high impact" crash to the front, in which case, where the plastic part would 'flex' before breaking, the CF part will just break once it's impact strength has been reached).
    3) Unless they're being scraped a lot (ie. the bottom of a CF chassis), CF parts tend to really outlive plastic parts (with the obvious exception on carbon-reinforced plastic parts). As such, you can easily expect the CF your bumper mount to outlast the plastic counterpart.
    4) CF parts aren't as susceptible to "drying out" as plastic parts are. As such, you shouldn't have to worry about the CF part becoming 'brittle', and crumbling apart.
If these 4 points don't convince you, nothing will. And, with that said, I'll say you've, pretty much, convinced me to sell my (never run) XRAY X4, and buy a Tamiya TA08 Pro kit. 🤙🏼

I can definitely say the TA-08 Pro is a very good kit
