- Here's a compilation of every California Raisins commercial I could find, including a couple of animated Raisin Bran commercials and a couple of short specials on the California Raisins and Will Vinton. I love the California Raisins (and Will Vinton in general)... I even own one of the claymation puppets from the original commercials!

@@masterfarr8265 I've got nothing but enormous amounts of respect for Vinton and all he did for the medium/art form, but why do people say he invented claymation? Unless you just meant "coined." I mean Gumby is basically the epitome of claymation regardless of what terminology was in use in the 1950s. You can go back further in time, but I'd pick Clokey as the one that really popularized clay animation.

I was a huge California Raisins fan as a kid (still a huge fan). I had a couple of the t-shirts, a few of the figures, the coloring books, I even had "The California Raisins Sing The Hits" on cassette tape. Seeing these old commercials brings back a lot of great memories.

haha I actually saw the California Raisins at Ice Capades live :). The only thing I remember was the singer talking about how "We were once ordinary grapes", but the sun turned them into raisins, lol.

The California raisins, these commercials were so good at its time and I know we all loved and enjoyed watching them. I am surprised that they never came up with the album, like seriously they had some good stuff back then. I miss watching these commercials on television, most definitely they need to put them back on and come up with some new California raisin commercials too. Can't help what we like and we can't help what we enjoy too

Ahoyhoy There, Fellow CZcamsrino! I just got a 1987 California Raisins Fingertronic foam puppet my aunt rescued and salvaged from an abandoned house and they were about to throw away some great vintage toys and collectibles. We salvaged some great , and surprisingly valuable; though, toy-wise I don't care about monetary gain, but just that these pieces of historical value get a chance , that's what matters to me.

I couldn’t eat raisins for a long time after I liked the California raisins commercials, and so I put the raisins in water and plumped it up and ate it or Kellogg’s corn flakes with extra milk and add the raisins and wait until the raisins plump up .

This was before I was born (1989) but I think I saw the Michael Jackson one. Looks very familiar. My great grandma LOVED those raisins. She got a birthday cake with the raisin figurines on it. I use to play with those things growing up. If she were still alive, I wonder if she would remember these if I showed her this video

Nope, I just grew up with 80's stuff thanks to my parents! I was born in 1991.
There was also the Christmas Claymations that came out during 1987. Also Tales From The Darkside was popular in the 80's decade also and made a movie of it in the early 90's.
Wow my little brother sent to me...hmmm a blast from the past. The Claymation was a big deal, they sold errithang🤗
