Keep up the exercise. Once you get over it's hard and finding an excuse not to do it is easy, it become addictive and then your miss not doing it. Biggest motivation is you have to want to do it and you sound like you have the right mind set.

Nights out crap food sitting for long hours all takes its toll. In 2016 air ambulance came to me on A1 never smoked not over wieght but major accident . You are doing you and your best chance by trying to get wieght good luck .

I admire your enthusiasm mate with the weight loss. I'm also trying to lose weight as well and it's not easy. But reading some of the comments on here about people having accidents and heart attacks makes me more determined. Keep up the good work and keep on trucking 👍

OLD LAWS REMEMBERED.
I was once pulled over by the recently opened M40 after delivering a load of pallets of milk to Tesco distribution centre in Byfleet.
They asked me where I'd been so I told them I'd delivered about 18 tons of milk to tesco.
They said, "The truck was filthy ".
I said, "You'd be filthy if you did the work this truck did"
The copper asked what I used it for ?
I told them its usually used for carrying pickle and oiled steel .
Turns out that I was stopped simply because the truck was dirty but they couldn't prosecute because they couldn't prove that I had made it dirty myself on purpose.
To date, I don't think anyone has been prosecuted successfully for driving a dirty vehicle on the road provided the windows and number plate is clear.
Just then a convoy of gypsies went past, so I told them not to look because they might see something that may be illegal travelling down the road and they did.
It was at the time when for a bit more money we could insure any vehicle and any driver, you may not remember these policies. I had one myself.
The government abolished these policies because they found out that one policy covered all the gypsies drivers and vehicles in the convoy.
Fact is stranger than fiction.

Good luck with the weight loss Luke, Get yourself a weighted skipping rope. I've just bought one myself to start my own weight loss journey and they're brilliant, Handy for the truck take up no room and can do it anywhere!
Feel for your boss. Hard planning all the loads and places don’t take loads after 3 can understand 4 if they are finishing at 5. Gives you a 6-7 hour window to get jobs offloading and reloading.

Great video. A shout to the guys at that firm tipping you late; things like that make a huge difference ... just look at how you went at that exercize. But ease into it slowly when it's not for the camera! I think the human body can produce around 125 watts or 1/6 horsepower so pedalling to charge something up might be an option one day 🙂

Genuine question after your last video with an average hgv drivers day (very good).
If you're doing a long shift, not just driving, what does your company do as you creep towards dipping below the minimum wage? Average £150 a day, then just over 13 hours would drop you below the new April 2024 threshold?

Yeah, exactly mate! Definitely could do with a pay rise. When you work it out like that it really is pretty much minimum wage.
I am fortunate enough to be in a position whereby I actually make more money a year doing social media content then I do driving in the truck for a year.
Yeah, including nights out I make about 42K a year driving the truck
Last time I checked my social media income for the last 12 months was 55K,
So for me personally, I’m doing okay. If it wasn’t for the CZcams, I’d probably go somewhere else that pays more

Got a few mates who do day multidrop work in rigids, and it's the same reason why they don't tramp out or drive the artic's as the hours start to really decrease the effective hourly rate. (Apart from money bags mate who works for Hoyers!)

I do mostly jump rope 10 minutes here & there 4/5 times a day.
While you do look a bit ridiculous skipping in a layby or services.
Keeps me slim/healthy (as you can be doing this job)
I think there should be an exercise area in every services they can, the vast maturity of services in this country could easily accommodate a couple of running machines, rowing machines etc.
Bloody cost to park in them not like they short of a few quid.
