Do regularly minimum service and its no problem at all. 200 000miles can be done. Reputation of problematic car is made by owners who are in majority woman and a lot of them know only, you need go to petrol station and not to pump diesel to petrol car. That is it. No car will be reliable if service interval is extended 2 or 3 time.
