Sugar High - Empire Records (No Dialogue Version)

- I always like the song at the end of Empire Records 'Sugarhigh'. But the film version is interrupted with dialogue from the scene and the album version doesn't have Renee Zellweger singing the extra choruses.
So I combined the two. This is the Sugarhigh song from the movie with Renee's singing, mixed with the uncensored lyrics from the album version and without all the dialogue from the movie constantly interrupting the music. The ultimate version of Sugarhigh for any Empire Records fan!
I also created a new music video for it featuring some of my favourite scenes from the movie.

@@AdaptiveRider yeah apparently A&M records wouldn't allow any songs or versions of songs that weren't official to their label to appear of the soundtrack despite being in the film
It's a good song but wow with the female vocalist whoever she is is way better.

Thank you for this no dialogue version. How many of you know there is an alternate ending, with Rex Manning joining them up there for a jam session of his single, "Say No More, Mon Amour"? I do believe I've seen it online in the past, but no luck this time. Rex smiling as he hits the guitar part harder than the single is a nice touch.

Thank you soooo much for making this. I've watched the movie at least four times, and I've been wanting the soundtrack, but then I realized the normal version didn't have a girl vocalist. I liked the original, but I feel this is much better. So thanks again!

when i watched the movie i really thought that "when i look at my life, i wanna kiss myself goodbye" was the best and most relatable lyric ever and then i listened to the original and i was sooo dissapointed!

I first saw empire records some several years back and all i saw was the ending and i fell in love with coyote shivers and for the next several years i saw bits and pieces of the movie till finally one day i saw it was coming on and set the dvr

GREAT job! I've tried to do something similar, but had a problem matching the two audio levels. You've inspired me to try again. What has always bugged me is that you know that the audio recording of the movie version of this song has to exist SOMEWHERE. They didn't record the audio on the set, they surely did it in a studio. I keep hoping they will release it one day. Actually, except for the fact that it doesn't have Renee' Zelweger's vocals in it, I prefer the album version.
