You don't seem to know what a scientific theory is. The word theory in colloquial usage means just an idea or hypothesis, yes, but a scientific theory is something that is supported by the best evidence there is. The earth revolving around the sun is a theory. Your body being made of cells is a theory. In science, a theory is a functional explanation of why and how stuff happens.
