    They put a lot of hop-ups into the kit. And really necesarry ones. I agree, this is definitivly woth buying.

      Definitely a great deal. I would pay more if they added these hop-ups in the standard kit too. I'm surprised they haven't done that.

      @@eekrc I think many buy these kits because of a special body and aren't so much interested in tuning. But ball bearings, oil filled shocks and the msin drive train are absolutely necesarry.

    I ordered one and it arrives tomorrow!! I can't wait, lol. So here I am looking up everything on it. Making a speed run car with it

    hey,i’ve just build my first tamiya! it’s an tt02r model! now available for 99€ in germany! good deal i guess,i put a brushless system on it!🤩 can’t wait to drive and test it because that weather still real mess outhere!😢

      @eekrc  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Yes! That's awesome! Have fun with it...the great thing about the TT-02 chassis is that parts are so cheap, and always available. It will probably be a lot of fun with a brushless setup and those high speed gears. 👍

    just built my first stock TT02, seems so bulletproof, the steering seemed stiff but the servo was able to handle that, got the TT02 SRX, hope the steering comes out better, looks like a great deal the TT02R, great price, I actually prefer the friction shocks, because the way the car bounces, but I will of course use the oil shocks.

    • @eekrc
      @eekrc  Před rokem +2

      Yeah, the friction shocks look fun. But that first time you hit a small bump, and you lose control and scratch or damage the body? You will be wishing you used oil dampers 😂 it is a good deal, I'll be building it soon. Might start it tomorrow. Thanks for watching!

    Definitely looking at getting this kit, going to add a few extras as well but I’m very new so could use some advice. Going to add the oil differential unit but what I can’t find out is do I need 2? I thought I did but can’t find the answer anywhere

    • @eekrc
      @eekrc  Před rokem +1

      If you want to replace the front and rear diff with the oil diff then yes, you would need 2. I would recommend trying it with the original gear diffs and if you feel like you need an upgrade then do it. Also I use the Tamiya Anti-Wear grease for the diffs because it is thicker and sticks to the gears making them more "limited slip"...but everyone has their own preference. Either way it's a great kit. Thanks for watching!

    I just built a TT-02BR and now looking at a SRX or R for the hop ups but if you go with a cheap kit for under 100 and buy Yeah racing stuff it kicks the price to half of the hop ups! So yeah thats where im at but seeing as i have a F104 pro, TT-02BR, XV-01 Pro, I think it would make more sense to get the TT-02R instead of a Regular tt-02 for the collecting factor! I just made a vid myself got a couple of RC cars

    • @eekrc
      @eekrc  Před 10 měsíci

      Absolutely! The R kit is the way to go...I think it's the best bargain in the TT-02 kits. Adding hop ups separately gets so expensive...I learned my lesson the hard way... 😂

    I got the type s a bit less alloy but the geometry is much better and some of the trf parts will also fit...

    • @eekrc
      @eekrc  Před 4 měsíci

      I was thinking about picking one up and doing a comparison video on that too. I think the best one to get is the Type SR. Best cost per usable hop ups included. But they are discontinued unfortunately. Thanks for watching!

    I just bought a used TT02R to go alongside my Fazer MK2. I was wondering, do the carbon shock towers for the S fit the R?

    • @eekrc
      @eekrc  Před rokem

      Very good question, as far as I know they should be interchangeable, but you might need different hardware. Maybe you can look at the 2 manuals and see what's different.

    Can the TT-02R be built with a 251mm wheelbase? I want to put the new Tamiya GT 3 body on it.

    • @eekrc

      Yes! 251 or 257...it's in the TT-02R manual.

    • @eekrc

    Ist da wirklich alles dabei bei dem TT-02R Chassis Kit oder muß man noch Tuningteile dazukaufen? Ich sehe da noch viele Plastikteile......?

    • @eekrc
      @eekrc  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Everything is included, these kits are mostly plastic other than the hardware and hop-ups included. You need to buy a body, ESC, and motor. I have a video building the Toyota Celica. That might help you.

  • @Shinigamix07
    @Shinigamix07 Před 9 dny +1

    Would the R chassis be a good kit for a rally build?

    • @eekrc
      @eekrc  Před 9 dny

      @@Shinigamix07 In my opinion I would look for an XV-01/XV-02 or MF-01x chassis, they are more suited for rough terrain. The TT-02 is best lower to the ground on road. I've driven TT-02s off road, and I just wouldn't recommend it...rocks get in places and causes issues with the steering, and the drive shafts. You would probably spend more on parts making it a rally other than just buying the rally chassis kits too.

    So, tt02s or tt02r who better?

    • @eekrc
      @eekrc  Před 6 měsíci

      In my opinion the R is better, I don't think the S comes with the hop up center drive shafts, motor mount, or high speed gear set. It does come with the frp uprights and better mounts for the suspension but the original one is stiff enough. Good question!

    • @eekrc
      @eekrc  Před rokem +1

      Right! At first I was thinking maybe the kit doesn't come with one? But that doesn't make sense. I have to call Tamiya, I'm sure they will send one out...if not I'll demand a TT-02SRX lol.
