The Fairly OddParents is of the the most iconic Butch Hartman Nickeloden cartoons from the 1990's and 2000's. Timmy Turner is a kid who has fairies Cosmo and Wanda, with Mr Crocker, The crimson chin, foop, poof, the pixies, and a bunch of other stuff like spongebob. Chip Skylark is cool as well Icky vicky and his shiny teeth

I thought the nickelodeon removed that episode from circulation and syndication, then I saw it on Nicktoons less than five years ago.

The concept was fine, but it bugged me Anti-Wanda had Foop because

The main reason why the last season just breaks everything is... If they had to share fairies, he could have shared them with Chester. You know? A kid who lives in a poor family, his father is shunned by society, possibly separated parents since his mother never actually appears in the show. But nope, the rich kid gets fairies.
Yes but, they have already established, Chester was happy with his poor man's life. And considering how dead the show was at this point, maybe it was a last ditch effort of reviving it, by adding a new main character, making her female, and beg that fandoms do what they do best, ship 10-year olds.
They did establish that fairies are about happiness not necessarily. Particularly when it comes to parental neglect. And as fucked as Chester's situation was, his father loved him and that was enough for Chester.
Also chloe is supposed to be the absentee parents neglected child, but they literally had Remy Bucksaplenty who is the same just written better
Chloe's season just told me the misery is subjective.
So she feels so miserable because she tries and fails to help people and tries and fails to make a real fried connection
But then Timmy fixed both of those so she should have been happy and lost them again lol.

What's weird is that Chloe might have worked as a recurring character in a better season: a kid with seemingly good life but personal issues that screw things up for her. Kinda like Remy Buxaplenty, a rich kid with neglectful parents who was a villain instead of a deuteragonist like Chloe.
I would've gladly welcomed Chloe first to the cast over Poof and Sparky to be honest.

He told me I couldn’t watch the show anymore, so I would continue watching the show in secret thinking he would actually remember what show it even was he got pissed at me for. Tbh he was kinda onto something since the show trailed off after this and I wish I hadn’t continued watching

What's funny about the new characters the show added is Harmon was opposed to all of them.
It was Nickelodeon execs who wanted them brought in to try and get the show up to Spongebob's popularity...despite it already being at the same level of popularity, it just wasn't as markettable on merchandise.

8:36 Jimmy Timmy Power Hour 3 was the intended series finale for The Fairly OddParents and Jimmy Neutron. Personally speaking, I would’ve much preferred that instead of Fairly OddParents continuing for an extra decade. Interestingly, the production codes for The Fairly OddParents episodes reveal that Jimmy Timmy 3 was the last episode produced for the series, and there is evidence of a forum post by Butch Hartman from January 2006 where he confirms that Jimmy Timmy 3 was going to be the end of The Fairly OddParents.
The timeline we could’ve lived in…
Same thing goes for Spongebob, the series should've ended after the first movie but instead the production wanted to milk it.
You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
But I like the later seasons, and there are some spongebob gems in later seasons.

For me, Fairly Odd Parents peaked at "Channel Chasers". It makes for a perfectly serviceable series finale, and Timmy having this ultimate battle against his original + longest recurring antagonist felt poetic. Mr. Crocker was a cool villain when he finally got magic in "Abra-Catastrophe!", but Vicky makes more sense in my opinion as Timmy's final enemy.

I don’t begrudge people who ship them because I’m normal about having a notp, but my concern is that they’re effectively step siblings. I do side eye most creators of nsfw of child characters though because too few people have the decency to age them up before sexualizing them and that’s just fictional cp at that point.

This first episode led to the theory about Timmy's secret wish. Becoming an adult traumatized him so much that he made a secret wish with Cosmo to never get old. The Channel catcher movie shows how scared Timmy was seeing his older self when and said "he shouldn't exist".
Fairly Odd Parents was the shit when I was a kid, I was always ready to watch new episodes after school and the tv species were a must see.

Same! A few episodes after Sparky's introduction is when I stopped watching altogether. I didn't mind Poof and Foop's inclusion, and the earlier seasons were pretty good.

This used to be my FAVORITE Show up til Meet The Oddparents, I used to watch every single episode when it premiered, played the games, had the DVDs, it was my obsession!!
Kinda sad how the show went downhill in the last 2 Seasons. Poof and Foop were great additions, Sparky and Chloe kinda felt unnecessary imo
This show does have many running gags. Like, every episode this show has, it has one running joke.
The worst part of the Poof addition is that for reruns of older episodes, they digitally added Poof into them, but literally does NOTHING

@abdullahibouraleh6919 no, poof was definitely added in the actual show's earlier episodes as a digital edit for reruns on nick. It's an odd detail, since Poof never says anything and just floats there, occasion emoting, if at all.

20:08 I heard in season 10 they did this stupid thing where the fairies are floating around right in front of the parents faces and for some reason they have no reaction to it it's like they don't even notice the fairies even though they are in plain sight.
Yeah, S10 does that a lot. There's even an episode where Poof and Foop are casually flying around Vicky and doing magic, and she's completely unfazed. S9 also had a plothole when Sparky was introduced- it was said that he was passed around from owner to owner before Timmy found him, but all of Sparky's previous owners were shown to be adult couples... which begs the question of how he was returned to the *fairy* pet store...
I wouldn't be surprised if the later FOP writers literally never watched the show a day in their lives

It’s so funny because they did this EXACT set up for not only Poof but also when Timmy got his dog. Like the EXACT park scene and everything at the beginning but instead of Cosmo and Wanda staring and crying over babies it was Timmy staring at dogs at the park. They weren’t very good at making new characters. 💀

16:33 Also there was a reboot in 2022 called "Fairly Odder" (stupid name by the way) and there were two characters who had such an awesome life (Vivian & Roy) they had a loving family and one of them was also famous and popular and talented and they didn't need fairies at all so I don't know why the writers gave them fairies when they're not miserable at all.
"Fairly Odder" also made it that Vicky was in love with Mister Crocker and I will NEVER be okay with that or the mental images that revelation put in my head.
@@Montesama314 yeah because in the original show Vicky was 16 and crocker was 53 and in fairly odd or Vicky was 24 and obviously crocker is older than 53 so that is a really creepy relationship.

I only saw a few episodes with him in it before I stopped watching the show and I remember nothing about him except his voice and appearance, none of his actions at all.

I think they knew that Sparky isn't an interesting character as they thought he was even though in 2010's in our time as kids, and correct me if I'm wrong, we love dogs and rarely dislike any dog characters
