- The second build of our bedroom remodel. We designed them in Sketchup but there were some changes along the way. They turned out better than we anticipated! We really like the two toned look. I want to apologize for the bad sound in the beginning. There was a copyright claim on one of the songs, so I had to mute it. Thus the reason for the weird sound.

Around $200 per nightstand if I remember correctly.

They look great! I like that you kept the end grain visible on the tops.
I also like the drawer slide technique. I’m curious... Did you use the same species of wood? Did you coat them with anything? Do they slide smoothly?
Thank you! Yes, I used the same poplar wood for the drawer slides. And yes, I coated the drawer slides with paste wax. They slide really smoothly. Thank you for all the questions!

I've never used spray-on poly. Do you also have to sand in between coats?

A very light brush with steel wool between coats is what I do.
can I ask what you had your jointer set too? seemed to take quite a bit of passes? 9:25
I was using big box lumber that was chipping heavily. So the minimal settings. Can’t remember exactly. Thanks for the question.
