I just realized he used that first line in his rock and roll hall if fame speach, "techically im not even supposed to be here" ❤
Nice catch
whoa 😮
you just made me realize it too 😊
"When you already hit em with the coupe de grace" is a line from Believe.
i just came to write that! Damn! Lol!
Recovery is one of the greatest albums of all time
nah
@gregh_777 I was born in 1987 I know better music than you
1983 and it's 4th for me
I love Recovery - never got why it got so much shit…
Me neither. It’s a classic. It literally saved lives. Mine included.
I agree the whole album was 🔥
I think honestly eminems singing got alot of people to tune off. I mean. I know I don't like it much and think many of the times he sings could've been done by a way better featuring artist.
Agreed.
Revival got shit, never heard Recovery get bad reviews.
Eminem's marketing for the new album has been genius! I keep noticing things that I didn't notice until now.
The Super Bowl commercial introduced the idea of him battling with his old self.
The song Tone Deaf is probably the most Shady sounding song we've had in a long time. The lyric video came out well after the hype for MTBMB had died down. it was addressing cancel culture.
This song(Cinderella Man) came out in 2010 on Recovery. His most successful album since getting sober, and pretty much the only album that didn't have a Slim Shady type of single. He, randomly, drops a lyric video a year ago, and the song talks about recapturing that feeling he used to give people, when he was Slim Shady.
His recent features have been addressing haters, reflecting on life and drug addiction, and a mixture between complex bars and simple bars.(Gospel, Walkthrough, Realest, Lace It, etc.)
He then dropped the Doomsday 2 song and video, which sampled his first music video and official introduction of Slim Shady to the world. In the video he reenacts Houdini's trick. Basically, hinting at us that he's going back to try to reenact the Slim Shady "trick" from back then.
It's also been said that he's been working on the album for 3 years.
This rollout has been genius and it's going to be super successful, because it's been slowly getting people prepared for years. I can't wait! Lol just had to share my thoughts
Looks like you shared an essay! Just kidding with you!
I was introduced to Eminem long ago! Curtain call was my first Album I listened to, 🥲 funny how a kid with no idea how big this dude was back then would revist him at Kamikaze thinking wait Ive missed out on something...It was there where I fondly remember buying all CDs of his and experiencing his journey 🙏
Cliff your absolutely right we are blessed to have such an influential person at such high calibre to still be here with us going what 30+yrs now?!? Hes a fkn LEGEND 🙏
The best moment for me in the last 10 years… singing along to this aboslute GOAT at his rapture tour. This man and his music have gotten alot of people, myself included, thru alot of hard times, dark times, and who knows. Some of us might not still be here if we didnt have this man and his music to get us thru. Not Afraid still give me goosebumps til this day. Thank you for your vids on his music and for your appreciation of thr LEGEND that is Emin3m!!!
I am one person who can attest to his music saving my life. I was at a very low point in my life, and left my house with the intent on not coming back. I was going to end my life. I put on going through changes and had it on repeat. I was bawling, thinking of everything I've ever messed up. I was driving over 100 mph, screaming the lyrics and I ended up changing my mind. And by the grace of God, and EMS words I am still here today. That was obviously 14 years ago & I'm forever grateful for Em & his songs.
Happy you stayed with us to cherish more of ems music@ginaarceciraymond
“Cause the way I feel
I’m strong enough to go to the club
Or the corner pub
And lift the whole liquor counter up
Cuz I’m raisin the bar
I shoot for the moon
But I’m too busy gazing at stars
I feel amazing and
I’m Not Afraid”
This particular set of words I have cherished for years.
@@Gigglecheeks1978Thats beautiful!! I’m glad you’re still here!! The world is a better place with you in it!!
You just know that Dre, Jimmy and Paul don't care what he says they just playing butt hurt for the comedy and its hilarious
Unacommodating on mtbmb has “ but I know magic and here go my last trick I’m bout to say abracadabra and pull a rabbit out of my hat. I’m bout to relapse and I betcha won’t know how to react”
Recovery was my first ever Eminem album I’ve listened to
I can't even imagineI if we didn't have Em...🎤🎤🐐🐐
When recovery dropped i kept playing this song over and over the wordplay was crazy
I am so happy he sobered up n gave us gold 🪙
An extra 17 YEARS thanks to the ambulance driver and hospital staff!
I have been a fan of Eminem since the first time I heard "My Name Is". I conned my grandmother to buy the cd since it was parental advisory, even though I knew my dad didn't want me listening to Eminem. My dad heard the cd playing in my room, walked in....and snapped the cd in half. A memory I will never forget.
ALSO.....gotta give him props for the fact that now we call major fans of celebrities "stans" even 20 years later.
I’ve been a fan of em since I heard “My Name is” back in 99. His music gave me an outlet for my anger that I would bring home from getting picked on in school. And his music helped me form a mental shield from it. I was 12 years old. And it continued until 9th grade when his music gave me the idgaf motivation to fight back. Fast forward a decade his music helped me thy rough relationship struggles and fake friends. Through my drug era, and eventually taught me to be proud to be clean. Everyone called me Slim throughout my teenage years because I always had one of his CD’s in my Walkman. Dude is a legend in my eyes because of what his music carried me through over half my life. Thanks Em!!
I'm living the same story. Who knows how many have and he has helped get through life over the years.
Without Em I'm full of anger and rage. If it wasn't for him, I honestly wouldn't be here anymore.
Been listening since 2000.
This man jumped 5 spots since the song release.... he was the 20th most listened to on spotify in the world... he's not 15th.... and 71m listeners.... 🤯🥳❤
1 of my favourite Em tracks, love this song.
I really like Recover. It's so uplifting throughout the whole album.
I think hes dropping it for Shady Records 25 yr anniversary. Why does no one talk about this but me. Em is calculated.
You may be on to something, my guy. Shady records started late June of 99
@@cnevares5 Feels like something he'd do and the timing is too perfect.
When he came back with Revival, in his song Arose, he talks about years ago thinking he wouldn't be around to walk his kids down the aisle, specifically Hailie. Just recently he was able to do that. Apparently Alaina got married too and each sister/cousin was in the bridal party. I'm very glad he was able to see them get married and be successful people
Love that you admit "trying" and dont just pretend.
You're one of the realest.
I think same as you, he will go all out trying to get cancelled.
You've responded to me. Probably one of the only reactors to actually talk with their fans
Damn straight! 🙏
You gotta do Obie Trice "Outro"! Matter of fact, you gotta check out all of Obie Trice's Cheers Album!
Em was truly ahead of his time . The pure lyricism got overlooked at this point
This album was released right before I moved from WI to NC... I lost count of the times I replayed it from top to bottom on my drive. :)
This song Cinderella Man is just straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for another amazing reaction dude 🫰🏼✌🏼
Yyyeeesss!!!! One of my favorite Em songs!!!
This song has lived on my playlist since 2010, when I first heard it. The Recovery was the Album that captured me at that time completely. That's when I needed the pick-me-up the most and Em provided it.
Go and check out in boxing who they called Cinderella Man it is a great story that has some great connections to the song and EM.
One of my favorite movies, glad someone else noticed the boxing connection
Recovery is my 2nd favourite album behind the Eminem Show. Great breakdown Cliff.
Thanks Cliff 😊
Don't think Eminem will ever really retire. He said it so many times in the past and he said it again in Houdini. My guess with the new album still isn't him killing off Slim Shady personally, but seeing if the media, society, etc try to do it as a result of what he may say. They will lose their minds if he goes even 10% of real old school Shady. Look at the reactions even some of the pretty tame bars in Houdini have gotten. Most of all I'm happy to see him clearly enjoying what he's doing.
Listeners can think or say whatever they want about his music, but it's undeniable that he has been a huge part of how popular the genre has become world wide and that other artists have benefited and made more money than they ever would have if he hadn't hit the scene. A rising tide lifts all ships and he has that effect with the eyes and ears he draws. No one else pays homage to those who came before him at the level Eminem does, so I always hope it gets new and/or younger listeners to branch out and listen to those artists.
He did not bleep the word, LMAO, good video Cliff, keep doing your thing
You are the man. So much positivity! I truly appreciate you, and 100% believe I could reach out to you for support ❤️
That tick scheme was NASSSSTTYY
Untitled was underrated on the album!
Thats my favorite on the album.
@@JP-fq2qj Might be mine to
Wow, I’ve watched all your Em reactions and didn’t realise you haven’t reacted to this track. It’s fire! Great reaction, Thanks Cliff!
Your comment about growing. A lot of people get stuck in their ways at a strangely young age. Encore and Relapse were mostly misses for me, but Recovery... Revival.. pretty much everything else was life changing for me as an individual.
Thanks for the hit of nostalgia. Recovery got me through a lot of tough times. I had that album on repeat on my iPod classic 😅
He mentions “coup de grâce” in Believe as well
Music is the salve that soothes and heals. Once indulged, it attaches itself to that moment forever.
I absolutely love this song and the beat and lyrics hit hard af
I got this album for Christmas when it came out. I was starting all over in life in a state where I didn't know anyone. I would listen tonthis album walking to work and back home. It was the only CD I had. Start to finish its my favorite Em album.
This is one of the best hype songs!
I don’t wanna see Em retiring 😢😢😢
He isn't retiring
Fun Fact: This album its gonna be diamond in a year or so.
Man is going to have 5 diamond albums
This album is nasty! Will always be one of my favorites! This is where he really started to murder everything! His wordplay gets all crazy!!!
somethin special about Em is he CANT be cancelled cause he legit dont give AF. He says a LOT of what the average person wants to say, but cant because they can easily loose their livelihoods. Em is our escape. Its time for Em to encase the next generation.
Cinderella Man 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Recovery is one of Em's greatest albums imo it's my favorite album
25 to life was amazing
Starts off like talking about a partner, then morphs into him talking about the rap game
Yeah.we most definitely are luck to have em still. And mention his new album in this song is crazy. When I went back to here this song I had to rewind it and here it again. Wow! Genius
This is one of my faves Em songs. ❤️
i always wait to see if people catch the chorus double...... cinderella man aka "send a realer man" as he talks about how much better he is. love it
Whrn you’re Em 60?’million subs is more than deserved!!
I stopped listening to Em after Relapse and didn't get back into his music till MMLP2, but like a few years after it released because I didn't even know it existed. So I didn't get to Recovery till like 2021. Cinderella Man is my 2nd favorite song off the album behind Cold Wind Blows.
Off this album No Love (and of course Not Afraid) are my go-to songs
Can’t wait for album review cliff 🔥🔥 you put that work in my guy much appreciation man 🙏🏻🙌🏻
This has been my jam lately! You know why!!!!💜💜💜💜 So happy to see this!!!!
Fire reaction man 🔥
He can bow out with a big fuck you to the entire industry. Hope he goes all out, drops the mic and let's rap go to absolute shit
I think album is coming June 21st because of what he said in Houdini
Loooveee this song. It's on my personal 'My Curtain Call' playlist. Recovery is a great album.
Their was a billboard posted In New york in times square that said new music Friday by Eminem
That was for Houdini
What a freaking amazing surprise for the year!!! We needed that so badddd. Eminem for the winnn!!!
I LOVE this song it’s sooo relatable
This is one of my favorite Eminem songs ever 🔥
One of my favorite albums.
Cliff, keep it up the great work!
On fire 🔥 please gonna keep asking till somebody does it
ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS
About Revival,l heard him say on Paul pod 'Man,l just dumped my f..heart out,and people are literally just calling it trash, and it does something to you'
The vulnerability that he shows in Walk on water,or those gems Castle and Arose (ok,there's also fun and crazy word play for instance in Heat), is incredible and you fully understand why after that he released Kamikaze...
I don't remember this song🙄 crazy how you forget songs sometimes - TY Cliff for this
I had this song stuck in my head for so long I would dream and hear it and it would be right on my lips when I woke up
I love recovery it’s my fav album full of motivational bangers! It’s special to me cos it helps you overcome struggles. Cinderellaman, talking to myself, no love, forever, not afraid all so good ❤️🔥
Thank you Cliff
I know he used “coup de grace” in the last verse of Believe on the revival album.
Recovery was one of my favorite albums
Coup de grace acrually means the graceful death
Can't wait for the album the industry is not ready for this🔥🔥
Another nice bar from Em that seems Houdini like is he mentions Music to be murdered by in The Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady.... crazy
I love in his next album when he said what good is a recovery if you fumble it
Awesome album such a classic 😊
Hey man. Saw a different side of you at the end of this video. I'm glad I stuck around for it (then again, I always do) Peace and love brother ❤️
This is one of my fav em songs.
This track is so fire!! Can't believe people try to downplay it, even the Album in general. 🔥
Maybe she can even get Phoebe's autograph, I hear she's a pretty famous cat
I love all his albums period 👍🏻👏🏻🔥 I still have my slim shady lp 💿 and still love it ❤
Forgot how much I love recovery ❤
If you start on the bottom, you need to flip things upside down and make it rain upwards!
New sub bc of Eminem.I´ll be watching.
Almost forgot how great this song is 🔥🔥🔥
Never knew there's a video for this one, even though I've had this one on my playlist for years =)
Love it a bunch, but the out of range beat still foxx with me =)
Great album
THE GOAT 🐐
ive heard this song hundreds of times and this is the first time i caught him saying " its in your A** " after saying he lost his nike shoe. a simple bar but idk how i always missed it
I love this song 🙏
Everything about the way he raps on this song reminds me of the despicable freestyle
My 2nd favourite album, behind mmlp2
Leave me alone is a sometime anthem for me good shit
I don’t think he knows how to not rap- he eats, sleeps breaths beats , punchlines etc..
The 🐐
