I got myself a 3D printer and now I make my own feeding trays to avoid mold, super convenient for all my pods and roaches! Another thing I plan on selling when I’m a bit better
Well done! Mate! I see you have mastered raising the critter's! I feel the Force is strong 💪 in you 🔥! I need more soldier's like you! You don't stop! Do what makes you happy! Be fruitful. The last of the mohicans!
@asimo1931 Great video! 🥰 I was wondering do you have a video on how you prepare/clean leaves/Moss or could give me info on how you go about it if possible please? Kx 😘
From my experience that "mold" isn't harmful. It's just ugly lol. I actually got it too shoot a shroom. I'll try and get a pick of it and send it too ya
How often do they breed for ispods? Is it every 3 or 4 months or is it different for all of them? Very nice setup! I so many videos of yours. Please keep it up coming!
Cool and informational video. New subscriber! Out of curiosity why so tall containers? Sorry new to isopods. I have some, but haven't really tried learning about them. Mine are powder blue that aren't blue. I'm unsure why the name. I bought them at Petco...I think. I'd like to get some of yours sometime. They look awesome!
Thanks for the sub! We have recently changed to smaller containers which will be in my next video. Also they are usually a mix at pet stores like that. Ordering from someone helps get what your looking for.
do you think the panda kings crawled in or were "accidentally introduced" at some point through cross contamination of media, feeding or other methods?
Not through the media because I am very strict on mixing soils. Though I have had two bins open at the same while I was putting isopods back in after a show and have Introduced them before on accident.
Hello with the armadillidium gestroi's I'm getting some with some cappuccino isopods and panda kings all 10 counts and i was wondering with the armadillidium gestroi's do you just keep the moss wet or do you mist the entire bin i read that you only mist the moss. if you don't get this i under stand its been 2 years almost I'm trying to breed isopods and make i business. thank you
How’s it going? It’s always best to have a moisture gradient one side wet one side cold. Especially with Gestroi i might do a slight mist over the dry side just so it doesn’t get bone dry but overall I mostly only water the wet side(moss side). Hope this helps!
If you know alll about them and have sought after beginner, intermediate, and advanced specie I would say it is. The trick though is networking. Once you find that net work you can make 5k a month if you wanted
Hi, is there any reason why you are feeding bug burger and not the isopod morning wood? Also, do you give them any calcium supplements like calcium carbonate powder or limestone? If not, why?
So one of the ingredients in the big burger is calcium carbonate and I do put in limestone in the enclosures for them to eat. I usually do that more for the isopods that need extra calcium. From a business standpoint bug burger has almost all the ingredients needed for isopod health and since it’s cheaper I got with that. I’ve been using it for years now.
As someone that's just starting to collect isos, this is literally a dream, someday I want to sell plants and isopods at my local reptile expo.
I really appreciate it! I have part two coming out today!

Looks like you might need more bins...
I did some experiments with the mold. It seems to not effect anything. Also springtails will eventually eat it
My springtails haven’t eaten it but the pods are finez
My crystal pineapples were napping in mold 😅

So awesome do you have a website?
Yes we do! featuredcreatures.shop
Love isopods, but I live in Hawaii so can't get any other than local ones🥲
I’m gonna be posting a lot more in 2023 so you’ll get to see a lot more!

@@asimo1931 thank you so much they just arrived today and I think your advice will help they stay in the dry side most of the time but thank you.
How long did it take you to raise it to grow into this room?
I could have done it faster if I was fully focused on this early on but I’d say 2 years
What is the average temperature in the isopods-room?
Around 70F
@@asimo1931 Thanks 👍🫵
Wow, I want Isopods now so bad. What's your website?
Featuredcreatures.shop
@@asimo1931 Awesome. Thank you!

is isopod breeding a sustainable job?

Did you find out what was causing that mold?
No not yet. I did close on my house though so I’m gonna be uploading a lot more now
