  • Best live versión Somebody to love!!!!
This audio is part of a larger project of "remastering" the concert at the hammersmith odeon 12/26/1979, ó "concert for people the kampuchea" ó "hammy 1979", is still in beta, so ask the opinions of as being the result.
The reason for this project is as follows; always been known to "Montreal", the "Wembley" or "At the bowl", but without detracting from this, I must say that the best performances were from this period (1979 - 1980) and above mentioned, in this specific tour, "crazy tour, Freddie could easily reach and even C5 C # 5.
Nevertheless, this tour does not have any source of audio quality, and console the only source available, is obtained from vhs, with distortion and noise, which makes their quality is quite low.
Which I find inconceivable, considering that this was the best tour away from Queen. Therefore, mention my discomfort with QPR, and who have not deigned to release a version of this legendary concert quality, and a way to do this is by demonstrating that even without the master tracks, you can create something of quality of VHS, as I show now.
    Enjoy:

I was 10 years old when the Beatles showed up and close to 30 when Queen were in their prime. I now try to explain to my grandchildren when playing this music in my car how lucky I was to grow up at such a fortunate time. Both groups, especially Freddie gave me memories I'll take to heaven with me. My grandkids can't believe this music when I play. They are stunned at the raw musical talent and voices of both groups. I'm grateful to them forever!

I always thought Freddie's vocals were at their peak from around 1977 - 1981, News of the World being the most vocally impressive in my view. The best example I can think of is the chorus in It's Late and pretty much the entirety of Spread Your Wings. His voice was still silky smooth but beginning to crack a little more, which I think suited their style. This performance was unbelievable!

Danny….did you know Fred sang with a throat so sore at that time that his vocals probably weren’t up to par. I noticed it more on Live Aid. The band did not know about his condition, but he worked in the studio 24/7 making sure that they continued their projects when he would be gone. He always thought of others before himself. Freddie was a hard act to follow. Poor Deaky was especially broken hearted because Freddie was like a brother to him. Near the end of his life, he worked in their studio harder every day. He always thought of others before himself. He continued working when one foot had parts of it amputated. Brian asked him about his foot when he noticed something was wrong with Fred. Freddie pulled up the leg of his pants at the hem and finally showed him the foot that was so bad that it made Brian sick to see it. How Fred continued to perform on that bad foot only God knows because throughout the last gigs he continued to run, jump etc. on it. When he sang his last song his body finally gave in to the pain, and Freddie told Brian, “I’ll finish this tomorrow, and tomorrow was too late. Brian sang the last line of the song but the rest is all Freddie and on the last line of music he would ever sing. He was gone…his last song.

@judymarrs9671 Live Aid was 1985. I'm referring to 1977 - 1981, as mentioned. I gave my personal opinion on his vocal sound. I personally feel his vocals sounded at their best from 1977 - 1981. How Freddie's throat felt has nothing to do with how my ears feel when I hear his vocals. To be honest, I think a lot of what you typed here is inaccurate rambling.
