Literally in Britain I swear everyone has a passport, like everyone. It’s just something everyone is expected to have, like a driving licence
Orlanda if you're like me and have neither lifr can be hell ngl
i’ve not had a passport for 8 years lmao
Well not everyone... I know a few people who don't because ya know.... Living in poverty means you can't afford one
Yh
I thought everyone just got one after they are born😂
I'm 14 and I just got one but so I've never been abroad. We could afford it we just prefer to go to Cornwall.
update: I've been abroad now and I can see why everyone does it because it was great XD
“I think British people just go on holiday to get a tan”. 😂😂
Emilia L why is it so true
Its sp true
So true tho!
Emilia L nope incorrect as a Brit a can tell you that
*try* to get a tan😂
"In the Middle of Australia there's just nothing." I'm from Alice Springs and lemme tell you, you're one hundred percent correct.
But there's plenty of traffic going on major roads, so people don't die if they break down.
The GAFA then.
How's the heat up there?
How are ya this time of year?
oh sweetie i feel so sorry for you
In the netherlands you have “vakantie geld” literally holiday money. Right before summer they pay you one month worth of pay on top of the normal pay. So you have some money for going on vacation
You know this is why I like Dutch people.
In Sweden you usually get 6 % extra when having paid holiday time.
British print workers used to get double pay for their holidays. Not sure about now.
When i take holiday in uk on a working day you lose your break times but when holiday pay you are paid for the full hours plus pension is not deductable
Dude, all these stories about how you get paid to go on vacation makes me sad. :(
British people on holiday just try to find other British to hang out with, I don’t think more true words have ever been said
Xavier Gibes
Too true
A really European thing haha we do it in Norway as well 😂
Xavier Gibes lol ikr
Nah I stay with who I went with one holiday
Nah they forgot to mention the part where it's 8am, all the sun beds by the pool have been taken by the Germans who put their towels on them at 5am.
The American and the Australian laughing at the British beaches. 😂
Why wouldn’t they the beaches have pebbles instead of sand. Like why
we have both pebble and sand beaches @@worm8151
Devon and Cornwall have great sandy beaches
Jenna Supper I’ve never been to a pebble beach here, I think that’s just Brighton
@@worm8151 ive only been to sandy beaches in the uk... bournemouth is great
In Germany you have 30 paid Days of Holiday, they dont take away your days if you are sick.
@Alistair Bolden I get sick pay
Most americans get squat for vacation days, and effectively squat for sick days.
In addition there are a lot of public holidays in Germany (e.g Easter, Christmas, day of the reunification, labour day,...) depending on the state you live in
Welp looks like I’m going for a swim to Germany I guess
@Alistair Bolden All Brits get sick pay, it's law, but you don't have to get paid for the 1st 3 days, reason being is to discourage people ringing up and just claiming sick on a Monday or Friday for example. People also get 2 weeks compassionate leave if needs be per year.
I'm Canadian and I went to Spain and Gibraltar last year. As soon as people found out that we were not American, but in fact were Canadian, their demeanours changed entirely. Everyone loves Canadians and I find it kind of hilarious.
Met an American in Chemainus BC frantically searching for Canadian stickers for his suitcase so people overseas wouldn't know he was American 😂😂😂😂 He was dead serious.
I'm American, and when I was in Spain they gave me the same reaction when they found out I wasn't British.
@@SamAronow so in Spain Canadians>Americans>British? I'm curious why they prefer Americans to British

Brits have passports like Americans have driving licences
Yh we have licenses to tho
In america 87% of those old enough to drive have a driver's licence.
If you didn’t get it, they said in the video that they have like 76% passports in UK so the comment makes sense
In Scotland ID for age verification has to be a passport or driving license.
Jacqulene Cross what other types of ID are there?
key british holiday is in some caravan park in like dorset or cornwall with a kids club where u can get a photo with betty the beachball or something
Sammy the seagull 😂
Yes!
Naaaa holiday parks in Wales
In Australia, 20 days paid leave actually means total of 4 weeks paid leave. They go by working day. Public holiday does not count as a paid leave but as a normal working day! So in fact we literally have up to 10 working days as public holiday!
Plus 18% holiday loading in most cases
6:07 So in Norway, employers are required by law to offer 25 paid vacation days per year, plus public holiday which is amazing!
I was looking for this comment lmao
IKR! it's great
Same in sweden;)
Same in Finland. Plus we get a bonus with the summer hols, it used to be called returning to work money, which you'd get once you finished your hols to make sure you actually came back to work and didn't start a new job instead. Basically you get your salary + 50% once a year. It's very nice.
In Germany we have between 20 to 24 days a year paid vacation, also plus national and local holidays.
(Except you work for gastro.. then you're pretty much ***** )
True british holiday experience is going caravaning in some field in Somerset or smth
That was the first holiday I ever went on
isle of wight
FUCK that brought me BACK to my childhood
haha that's true
Fucking Cornwall
There are alot of English people in Wales. Forever.
"I didn't think it was much"
Noah... 28 days is a February.
😂😂 I swear North Wales in the summer has more Scoucers and Mancs than actual Welsh people.
The people that scoff at the idea that britain has got nice beaches clearly have never gone to cornwall

I don’t personally but this is still true lmao, majority of people do this
Most ppl in England do that but not just Spain
australia, we get 10 paid sick days a 4 weeks holidays per year
Yeah was going to say, pretty sure we Aussies get like 6 weeks per year? Or else my job is amazing
And if full time after 7 (?) years you get a 5th week ‘long service leave’ each year.
Oh and full timers get about 20% ‘leave loading’ (extra pay) on the 4 weeks leave.
Yes, 20 working days of the annual leave which makes 4 weeks with weekends. If you're a shift worker you may be entitled to 5 weeks.
The unused sickies can also be accumulated and can be used in the future if needed.
@@davidwest1325 leaving loading is 17% per week holiday and after 5yrs employment at company you get 1 month long service and 2 months after 10 yrs
I love how everyone has like an entire month of vacation days and I'm over here in the US strategicly planning my 10 day vacation and thinking that it was a long time 😬
He He Denmark, 30 days with pay!!
This is how it looks for us in Denmark in 2019,,,, 52 Saturday and 52 Sunday + 13 days of holly or national holidays + 30 days of vacation days.
So in short in 2019 we work 218 days gets 147 days, not working. It's a good year :-)
The US military says you can get 60 vacation days
Denmark rolls!!
In Germany too
Heidi no, it varies but the average is 25 (unless you’re a teacher or smth)
Same here in Brazil!
james has most british accent i've ever heard from an aussie
Kayla Harman Isn’t that kind of a Perth thing?
That’s not a Perth thing I think it’s just a James thing😂 I lived around Perth and I’ve never heard anyone who’s talked like that unless they were British 🤔
Wobby Enna thank you for the clarification! :)
Western Australia tends to be a more English accent (but not quite as much as James as James has lived in the uk for a long time I believe)
Ailsa Main maybe in Perth and the more populated areas? I’ve mostly lived in the super bogan areas and trust me when I tell you the accent is far from English I can’t even understand my own brother most of the time😂
Erm, I'm sorry to report that in Europe British tourists are notorious for being rowdy drunkards mostly. "Grumpy" doesn't exactly cut it. Sorry.
I know exactly the type you're talking about. The 'lower working class' are often like that in the UK. There are certain hotspots in europe that are very cheap which are very popular with these types. In places that are expensive for Brits, like Japan, British tourists have a good reputation, because they have never seen working class Brits. 🤣
I apologise for my country
I met some Brits at a train station in Amsterdam and going off their accent, liverpoolians, and holy duck, they were sooo energetic and loud, especially since I just had a 10hr bus drive :D
Centre parks is amazing - log cabins- water slides - outdoor activity- great food and family 👌🏼
Yeah sounds posh
Yessss the rapids as well (not sure which one(s) you have been to)
I think the number of passports increased because somewhere in the late 2000’s or early 2010’s the law was changed so we needed to get passports to get back from Mexico and Canada, before that we just needed our ID’s.
oooooh! FUN FACT
@@evan if you live in Washington state (and probably other border states) you can get enhance IDs that you can use to cross land borders (and some Caribbean islands, as long as you go there by boat) so you still don't need a passport to go to Mexico or Canada if you have one of those, as long as you aren't flying.
I got one when I went to Canada because it's cheaper and faster and I didn't pan well.

@@evan not quite, it's a lazy river but sped up like a normal river but you have slide style parts where you can slide down and try not to crash into people then laugh as someone gets caught in the cyclone part of water that they struggle to get out of. Unlike a river though it's only a few ft deep

In Belgium we have something called "holiday money" wich is basically(with exeptions of course) that you're wage is doubled during your paid holidays
brecht kimpe Omfg I can’t. The Republicans in the U.S. would shut that shit down so fast it isn’t even funny. They would find a way to make sure any dime more than the 1 week of vacation pay that you get here if you’re lucky (which is only at full time jobs that offer it* a lot don’t offer any) goes straight to the employer so they can continue to choke the life out their employees financially and of course legally. Never in your life let someone tell you this country is anything positive. It is a small group of people who stand on the rest of our backs who control the media that tell you this country is great. Of course the country is great if you are a rich white man.
@@Gizmonips Think people in the UK get a false impression especially when they holiday there, they seem to think it will be amazing except they forget about the lack of holidays having to work multiple jobs just to stay a float, poor health insurance having to pay for an ambulance or medivack helicopter, sales tax on everything rather than on luxuries, pay to bank, also delayed payment for fuel not fill up and pay, go in, pay what you think you might use, then sometime in the future get a refund on the money you didn't use.

James: "I'm from Perth, Western Australia.
Me: "OMFG WE DONE IT LADS! We have an Australian that speaks normally. No more, "Yeh bruz, daz got a ciggy in me tog up servo aye." Now we have James, the intellectual.
I’m from Sydney and it seriously pisses me off when people speak like that, it’s like they’re trying to use Aussie slang cause they feel like they aren’t Australian enough that they ridiculously overcompensate for it by using every known colloquial word in existence.
god what a mood
BurritoBoy 101 yes this! Where as us Queenslanders are accepting of the fact we are bogan and the slang just is. It is what it is lol
@Mia Smith Yes brother, Darren gave me a cigarette so I put it in my swimming shorts at the petrol station.
I (Swede) burst out laughing at 6:20 - we have 25 days paid holiday, but it's not always voluntary. You can elect not to take those days for a while, but my uncle was actually ordered to take a couple of months off work because he'd collected too many vacation days. He literally wasn't allowed to work that summer.
I don't know about British people everywhere else, but British people that visit Spain have the worst reputation lol They're in the news literally every summer because they keep trashing the places they go to to party (like Magaluf, Gandía, etc.)
What I was thinking
Ik that’s exactly what I was thinking
It's the same for Italy. There are fewer of them but they party a bit too hard for most other European countries.
Yeah, in Amsterdam they have the same reputation, especially for getting stoned and drunk
British people who visit Spain are the lowest type of British person.
Their reaction to Hershey Park was hilarious! I live in Maryland, so I go at least twice a year. I've been on every ride, and it's in my opinion, one of the best places in the world.
Well the UK has something similar in the form of Cadbury World.
ThebreadthatcausedLesMis we do??????
It's more of a factory with a ride and a 4D experience. I love it tho
I think the best theme park we have in the UK is Alton towers
I live in Pennsylvania and even I have only been there once
You're right about Sweden! If you work full time for an entire year you are entitled to about 25 days if paid vaccation. If you don't want to have 25 days off, your bosses will literally make you take at least 20 days off😅
And we do get the “vacation bonus”, semesterersättning, too!
Plus, those 25-30 days does not include national holidays, or weekends. So it’s basically five to six weeks off, paid in full.
It’s awesome. :)
In Austria there are 25 days paid days of vacation plus like 10 national holiday days which don't count as vacation, but are also paid.

So the UK's 28 days of paid leave can include the 8 "bank holidays", leaving you with 20 days of "voluntary" leave (i.e. you choose when it occurs).
In Australia we receive 20 days of voluntary leave as well, and the number of public holidays varies by state, but sits around 8-11, leaving us in the same net position or better as UK workers - except that our annual leave accrues each year (you can build it up), and after between 7 and 10 years of continuous service at one company, you are also entitled to Long Service Leave, which gives you around 8-10 weeks of paid leave.
Varies from company to company, the one I work for gives you the bank holidays on top of the statutory ones, we also have a Christmas shut down were on non Bank Holiday days we can volunteer to come in and get paid in time in lieu or actual money
Centre Parks is so posh 😂 growing up I had Haven and Butlins and even Butlins was expensive

I always go to center parcs in summer then Butlins at Halloween. I always end up doing some random caravan shit in May though haha.
We went to Centre Parcs once and it wasn’t even called that at the time, it was Oasis, and my dad would only let us use the pool at the park cos it was free and not do anything else.
In Finland you get about 2.5 days paid holiday days per month.. so ~30 days a year... and you usually use part of the days in the summer and part in the winter...
Same in Brazil actually!
Having grown up not far from Ascot where Noah is from, the general holiday location was indeed Europe, but this is because where we grew up is phenomenally affluent. Otherwise I would say the holiday destination to actually look at is Devon or Cornwall, Cornwall being where you have worthwhile surf if that's what you're after.
Also, Noah is technically correct about the number of days of paid leave, but only because we have 20 days as standard (minimum legal requirement for full time work) and 8 bank holidoays. So 28 in total but 8 are fixed dates.
*Go to Center Parcs and vlog it pls* it's just like an outdoorsy holiday place where you stay in the woods and do loads of activities
Yep, very family friendly, not very exciting if you are an adolescent or an adult without kids, but it's a safe and fun environment for kids with lots of outdoorsy activities and a swimming pool with slides. And the separate bungalows allow for some family activities without disturbing your neighbours. Not for everyone, but it fills a niche.
love me some centreparks, it's just bungalow parks where people go on holiday with family or friends for a short week so mon-fri or fri-mon and do small activities like "swim in tropical pool" or "ride a bike" or like noah said "climb a wall" but all low intensity and chill. don;t think they are as popular now as they were back in 1980-2000's. i must be thankfull for them because i believe my parents met in one of those parks hahaha
I remember going a lot back in the early 2000s as it was a great place to meet up with family I didn't see often for a few days. I have lots of fond memories of swimming and going for woodland walks. I'd love to go back one day but I could go on a weekend break in Europe for the same price as weekend there. So I think it will be a long while before I do so.

British people don't really talk to each other and I personally find it very awkward when some stranger talks to you on the tube but at the same time you don't really want to be found as quite rude by ignoring them.

I also never knew the landmark seeking was an American thing! On why we have so few vacation days, I wouldn’t say American workers are complacent, I think it’s more to do with disappearing unions and the current job market, where workers do not have a lot of power in the employer/employee dynamic
So true. Like...what are the workers going to do if they don't get their way?
There is a line of people just waiting in the wings for your job, companies have no problem just letting you go and getting someone else who isn't a squeaky wheel. Plus Americans have the mindset that you need to work hard for everything. Need a house, work hard! Need a car Work hard some more, need a vacation, work extra hard and make sure you don't have a promotion coming up because if you take that vacation you can kiss it goodbye!.
My dad worked 3 jobs. Do you think I got to go anywhere as a kid? I was happy when we got to go to the city 2 hours away. It was so exotic and exciting!
It’s a cultural thing. For instance in Australia it’s a common thing to “chuck a sickie” on a Friday or a Monday to get a long weekend. Basically it’s using a sick day. Or if there’s a public holiday near a weekend we’ll do that to get a 4 day weekend. We also will relocate a public holiday to the next working day so as not to miss out on our public holiday. Australians quite like holidays lol
The disappearance of unions is a part of the workforces complacency. It is also why we have less power in the employee/employer relationship. We fought, like literally fought and died for our rights as workers and in order to get unions. The current workforce is vilified so much as lazy and replaceable that we've been beaten into compliance bc we know that we no longer stick together and someone will def just replace us if we try to stand up for ourselves and subsequently get fired.
Visit Doncaster!
Also the rest of Yorkshire especially Whitby and Pickering.

Atinuke Ladipo doubt it, each company has different days and it’s the government who set the days not the EU
I’m from the Lake District and it’s basically puddles and hills😂
I have triped there before
With a lotta lotta tourists
I am from Cumbria aswell
I go to the Lake District for holiday a lot
If you’re working full time, 20 days is four weeks, cause you aren’t expected to work weekends
In Ireland we have tayto park. A theme park made by a crisp company.
Noah is so chill in this video😂
I work at center parcs in the Lake District 😂 it’s basically a holiday park based in the woods with tons of activities that you can do and restaurants. You stay in really cute wooden lodges - you should definitely come and stay one day!!
I'm also from NJ, and, I once got stuck in Florida. I had to take a bus home. It was 26 hours on a Greyhound. The most miserable experience of my life.
Why were you riding on a dog????
I did Canberra to Brisbane in Australia - AWFUL.
It’s great having someone from my town Perth represented talking about going to Busso and Augusta
why do so many brits just forget that the uk also has sandy beaches?
Because they're still shit
Because there are better beaches everywhere else
Cause Britain’s ocean is cold af
Because it’s cold and the odd day it’s above 16° the beaches are mobbed.
There is a massive sandy beach near where I am from in North West Cumbria. But its no fun if it isn't sunny and it is always windy there.
As a Greek my experience of Americans with passports is best summed up in the case of a couple with 3 kids up on the Acropolis one afternoon:
Kid1 (about 9): dad, this stuff looks old.
Mom: yeah, how old this stuff?
Dad (looks in guidebook): this says 450 BC...
Kid2 (about 12): so like 450 years old?
Mom: sounds about right...
Kid3 (about 15): that makes it, like, twice as old as America!
Dad: yeah, it's pretty old, says here it's the birthplace of democracy!
Kid1: can we get McDonald's now?
Me: *facepalm*
Still better than a lot of the experience of Brits with passports which is best summed in two words: cheap(er) booze...
I guess I could give the Americans a B- for (some) effort?
I mean yeah I'm sure it's not quite that bad, but americans have a hard time understanding and relating to just how old shit is in other countries. And because it is difficult to travel, most of us have literally never seen anything (obviously excluding nature) older than 400 years old, if that.
Yeah u gotta understand that the oldest city in the US is San Juan, and it’s not even in any of the 50 states but in Puerto Rico and only a few hundred years old lol. We don’t spend our lives living in ancient cities so we’re just not used to it. Also, the public school I went to put a lot of emphasis on world history (learned a ton about Ancient Greece and Rome) so it really depends on where you are in the country, as education is extremely decentralized.
Ναι ρε φίλε μου τι δίνουν τα αμερικανάκια που δεν τους νοιάζει, και δεν τιμάνε τίποτα (όχι μόνο Αμερικανοί αλλά κυρίως αυτοί είναι)
More like 2000 years lol
also cheap booze is the peak of holidays, my friend said that in Bulgaria a can of beer was like 60p-bargain.
More like 2000 years lol
also cheap booze is the peak of holidays
I'm from the UK, this made me take a look into what holidays I get... apparently I get 30 days a year, so I feel pretty good about this now
JAMES' AS IT IS SHIRT
YES I STAN AS IT IS TOO MUCH AHHH
Centerparcs is like a holiday summer camp for families in the woods, like the one is dirty dancing. With lots of 'fun', organised activities.
@12 34 that cost too much
Some German companies pay extra in the summer for potential holiday and in December for Christmas. It's not mandatory, but a lot of them do it.
I think one of them is actually mandatory 😅 But I suppose it's the one for Christmas / the one at the end of the year..
wait so people in other countries don't get Christmas bonuses?
@@xThePinkApple I don't know... They might not. I just know about the situation in Germany.
I think christmas bonuses aren't mandatory either, but more common than summer holiday money. As a German, who admittedly has never had a job yet, I have actually never heard of money for summer holidays, I only know christmas bonuses.
Its so crazy hearing my lil south west towns mentioned in this videos holiday locations. Like its so cool hearing things from someone from perth.
I’m 17 and still love centre parcs! It’s so lovely it’s you ride a bike round the forest and there is aiming restaurants and activities, it’s expensive though especially during term time which is why I rarely go but when I have been I loved it!
I’ve never loved a collab more. Congratulations, Evan. This is the best collab I’ve seen.
Haha, love this, Centerparcs is very well-known here in Belgium. And indeed not particularly posh. It is a vacationing park where you rent out a vacation home with your family and in the center of all the homes you have a bunch of restaurants, a fancy swimming pool, and other recreational things (which is why most people indeed travel to one of those homes with their family and particularly young kids). Didn't even know it was known in Britain, I know for Belgian and Dutch families it's a common quick getaway, definitely as I said, with smaller kids or bigger families.
‘People who were trying to get to Gatwick but ended up in Doncaster’
Idk why I found that so funny 😂😂😂
Its weird that I watch this video wearing the same AS IT IS Australian Tour shirt. I love them, seeing them again next year.
It's bizarre to see Noah and Evan together! Two of my favs! What's even weirder, tho, is how quiet Noah is. Like, it's just so not his thing to sit patiently and wait for a turn to talk, lol. 😅 He seems more reserved.
Waiting for Noah
Noah laughing at Hersheys park when we over here with Cadbury world
When I heard Jampkin was from Perth my thoughts were “Yeah Perth represent!”
So happy to see someone repping As It Is merch. They're such a good band 😊
PERTH REPRESENT. the most isolated capital in the world yewwwww. Also just completed my "Europe Trip"
ayyyy westyy
Centre parcs is a activity holiday, theres a swimming pool with rapids and slides, you then book activites such as mini golf, archery, segways, go ape and so much more! Also they all have spa's which you can buy a day pass and use all the steam/sauna and mediation rooms and pools! And also book in for treatments such as mud baths, masages and nails! Its the best of britian!
“Centerparcs isn’t posh” 😂😂
I felt that coming as soon as he was introduced as being from Ascot. *ruffles hair* bless
Love the travel trivia! 😍💯As an American who travels a lot and is very fortunate to have a union benefits and therefore a lot of paid vacation time, this video made me feel super grateful!
As if he mentioned the Lake District. Didn’t know people knew about it. We have been noticed! 😂
I live in the lake district and I was like wow we have been acknowledged
Where is Lake District

Center parcs is pretty much just a forest with roads and stuff. You stay in a cabin with like 20 others in a row either side of you and across from you. But you are kinda hidden. You bike everywhere and all I remember is going swimming, going to normal play parks and going to restaurants for food. It’s not posh since it’s mostly a wood cabin sort of style but inside it’s really nice, I recommend going
I went to Greece on holiday and I met at least 70 or more aussies with in less then a week. Also thanks for shouting out Goldie, love my home
i live in Denmark and we have an average amount of 40 vacation days a year... i never thought we had so much more than other counties.
whoah
@@evan I know right!!
@@nigelmarvin1387 you're very welcome here, we have loads of advantages like free health care and free school.
@@tuboaf How's the immigration process? Denmark sounds amazing, but I've no skills that would get me a visa in most all other countries.
@@Melissa-wx4lu well it depends, if you live outside of EU then I think it's the same shit as any other country, but if you live inside of EU then you can basically just get over here and live without much difficulty.
Noah is really adorable, that’s all I could think through the whole video 😆😂 You always have such lovely people on your channel 🤗
Rebbi THANK U
Center Parcs is a holiday place that can be found all over Britain. I know that there’s one in Penrith and a few more. I go every year with my family from Friday - Monday and it’s basically a big forest with lodges in them, there’s about 800 lodges in the Penrith one, and there is a ‘sub tropical swimming paradise’ and its actually really good. There is also bowling, a few shops/restaurants, lots of outdoor activities like wall climbing, tree trekking, horse riding, you can even have an hour on a pedalo for the lake. It’s a nice family thing
lovin the as it is merchhh
