  • The all-new Team GB World Junior programme got off to a flying start at Fatcat Moto Parc where some of then UK's top youth riders were joined by team coaches and British MX1 champion Tommy Searle for a shakedown test session..
Team manager Dave Willet was joined by Searle, together with multi-talented Welsh racer Glen Phillips, and top ex-pro racers Ashley Wilde and Lee Dunham to help out and inspire the young racing stars of the future.
And there was some awesome action including riders like Ollie Colmer, Josh Vail, Jake Walker, William Murphy, Danny Flude, Jamie Keith, Zane Stephens, Olivia Reynolds, Joel Winstanley, Wesley McGavin, Tyler Peaty and Nixon Coppins - son of former GP ace Josh. It's the first in a series of ride days and training schools for the British squad.
The 2023 FIM Junior Motocross World Championship will be held on July 8 in Romania at a track 50km north of the capital city of Bucharest.

I like the Euro track style. US seems to be obsessed with potentially career ending obstacles.

Diet, disciplineand hard work are needed from uk riders...but the thing that is most lacking is a FIGHTING SPIRIT like herlings and the others have (even the young nipper haiden deegan takes no crap).
Maybe bring in some one from the boxing/mma world to help out as fighters from Britain always get to the elite level.

Agree with the discipline thing and that needs to be off track too.
Respect needs to flow both ways and any help must be vetted to make sure its not wasted or given to undeserving.
Lets also look at regenerating the schoolboy 125 classes, nothing over 125 until going adult, I honestly feel thats why we generated so many good riders back then, they had the seniors and expert classes to build on, it seems to me once the 125 class went we stopped the racing and now have huge gaps in abilities in the same race, look how quickly lap times drop off. Or mx is dying out and we just have far fewer riders than before !
