Thank you for posting this series. It was EXACTLY the same issue I was having and it made it such a cheap and easy fix! FYI to anyone else watching these- I was not able to find the replacement O-ring at Home Depot, Lowe’s, Napa auto, or advanced auto parts. I FINALLY found the exact replacement at Ace Hardware, they had a huge selection of many different sizes. Hopefully that saves someone else some time and driving!
Glad I could help. FYI you can get a whole kit of various o-rings at harbor freight and similar stores for less than $10 for around 300 pieces. They're good to have around and are good for water, fuel, gas etc. I figure this fix cost me about five cents. Take care.
The leak sensor is that round assy with the two wires hooked to it in the bottom tray. That’s what makes the normal light flash, it detects a major leak. It’s a Styrofoam float. The two things you called sensors with the wires hooked to them are the ends of the heating element. the impeller with the bad oring is the drain pump. Mine was leaking I believe from the same place. I’ll never buy another Samsung Dish washer.
What you pointed as moisture sensors are not that but are the heater connectors. The moisture sensor is in the big round plate on the drain pan with wires connected to it.
This was also the issue with our dishwasher; that O-ring isn't rated for heat. Replaced with an Imperial Supply O-ring, part #70081, 51 mm ID, 57 mm OD. Hope this helps someone... and this is also the last Samsung appliance we'll ever purchase, as our Samsung refrigerator has had multiple issues. Never again.
I was having this same issue. Luckily, Harbor Freight sales o-ring kits for $6.99 and I had one. I had to upsize the diameter of the o-ring but it felt better when I reassembled the unit. Put it back together and ran the dishwasher. Running well. Thank you for the video!!!
Ok I just purchased a new dish washer, so I'm trying to install it, the normal light is blinking , so how do i get to the O ring, under the bottom or what
There is one inside the pump assembly. That's the one that was my culprit. Easy fix!!! Check your model number or take it with you to make sure to get the same size. Remember it may be worn so if anything go a little smaller ( only if you have to ) but make sure it's around the same diameter and shape (round vs flat seal) to ensure a water tight seal. Hope this helps:)
The housing that you see loose just turns counter-clockwise and it comes off... you'll see the old o-ring in it right where it compresses against the base. O-ring: 2 x 2-316 x 3/32
do what i did to disassemble .go in the garage crab a 20lb SLEDGE and BEAT the living CRAP out of THIS CHINESE MOTHER F'N piece a CRAP DISHWASHER ....SIMPLE FIX...
Yea piece of shit. Mine is 6 months over warranty. Water valve leaked. Fixed it, now won't work when u hit start. The one it replaced in 2019 was from the 80s. Time to call someone i guess

The moisture sensor is actually on the plastic bottom plate

This happened to my Samsung dishwasher as well, about a year into use. Thanks for sharing!

This was the comment I was looking for
This dishwasher has been a nightmare. You are right, the built quality is horrendous. Thanks for the video
5 or 600 hundred dollars, sir.... that is a lot of money
On the cheaper end for a dishwasher.
I bought the cheapest stainless steel dishwasher at Lowes. It was on sale for $469.
Where does the O-ring go ??
How does one separate the impeller from the housing? I’m trying not to break it.
Just did this repair and found a slightly thicker /smaller o.d. o-ring that worked great. Size: 2 x 2-316 x 3/32
Hi, can I confirm that the size that fits wellfor you is 2x 2 3/16 × 3/32?
Has it leaked since?
@@chujay1748 Hi, sorry for the late reply... that is the size and it's been perfect since I replaced it... no problems.
I have this. 4 months and its stuck on normal. I'm pissed. I'll show this to my husband. Thanks!
Thank you. I’ m having the same problem and the dishwasher is 2 weeks old
Where did you buy the oring
looks like that I have the same problem. What exact size is the o-ring? thank you for posting the video. mine is one year and half old.

Hey buddy can you please let me know where we can buy the ring. I have a same issue thank you
It's probably easier and cheaper to get one of these kits www.harborfreight.com/hardware/o-rings-grommets/382-piece-o-ring-assortment-67554.html
is there a way you can show us how to disassemble that and replace the o-ring? and without all the shaking of the camera phone...LOL!!!!
