The charge - I saw that - that was the saddest fan moment of my life - I thought there was no way he'd be coming back. Comes back. We win the BTT. The BTT record for most points in a game was 35, TSJ AVERAGED 34. The BTT record for most points scored in a tournament was Keegan Murray in 4 games. TSJ finished 1 point behind. Scored so many points playing just 3 games. Only had 3 games since Feb. 4th not scoring 20+ points. Finished 3rd in the nation in scoring. We get to the E8 - finally the curse is broken. Averaged 28 in the first 3 March Madness games. Averaged 30 in the 7 game win streak since the Purdue game up until the UConn game in the E8. Now think about all that. That was a RIDE. LEGEND!!!!!

I pray Terrence Shannon Jr. can get through this. I want him to focus on his studies and training. I want him to do the best he can to understand and assist his lawyers to advance his legal arguments. He can absolutely get through this. He must hang in there over the next week or two, when critical steps will occur in his criminal case in Kansas and his federal case in Illinois. When the right time comes (he and his lawyers will know when), I expect him to simplify his situation and take steps to move past his troubles. This might involve a plea agreement. If TSJ can't play basketball for the University of Illinois, he should still continue to train and prepare for when his criminal case is resolved. Personally, I hope that change can occur in March of this year, if not before. So, by June, things could be a lot different regarding his future. His lawyers can help him with that. His family can support him. Many fans will support him too. With all that in mind, I don't worry. I think TSJ can be okay.
