- Engraving mirrors is a cool way to display pictures, text, logos, or other designs. It can be fun and easy, but it can also be frustrating if you are new to laser engraving.
In this video, I will show you some tips and tricks that might be helpful to you, so you can skip the trial and error phase and a lot of wasted time and materials. This process works perfectly for me, but I want to tell you ahead of time that YOU NEED TO KNOW YOUR MACHINE. That is the BEST TIP I can give you. Trust me, I wasted A LOT of materials---wood, glass, mirrors, water bottles, etc. before I really got to know how my machine works for every project I make.
Hope this video helps you and that you will make cool projects! Happy Crafting! 😊🫰👍
Fingers crossed...heading to the laser right now.
Thank you very much. You made a great tutorial with a picture of a beautiful baby. 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you! Hope that helps...
Nice Tutorial! I'll be referencing this when I have time to experiment with mirror engraving!
An unrelated tip- I'd recommend getting rid of McAfee.
use T1 or T2 to draw your framing box thats what they are for, they dont cut or engrave they are there for this purpose. The T stands for tool path.
Hi like the mirror project awesome 100 we’re did you get the lights?
Hi nice project❤ . Can you engrav the image on Acrylic using the xtool D1 pro?
Video could have been made a little shorter but a wonderful presentation nonetheless. Congrats on baby. Very nice tutorial.
Trust me, I tried my best to make it short. I was not successful. 😅 I'm new to making tutorials. 😉 but thank you!
So I follow this process last night it took three hours to engrave a 6 x 6 square I was trying to engrave a photo which isn’t that great of a photo, but it was of an animal and then when it was done I simply took her to the sink to wash it with some soapbut when I did the whole image came off now my mirror looks like a piece of see-through glass. What do you suppose I did wrong?
You may have better luck taping the lights to the back of the mirror that way you won’t see them in the perimeter of your photo. I’m definitely going to try this out on my laser, thanks!
Thanks for the tip! And good luck! :)
Could you please share which led lights r u using?
I used a 3-ft led lights from amazon. They sell white, warm, and rainbow colors that come with remote controls.
Couldn't you just engrave the acrylic in the box and then just spray the back with Rust-Oleum mirror spray paint.
Do you think this will work with my xtool M1
Hi! I am not really sure. I suggest you do a test using a dollar tree mirror. They have a small one. :) good luck!
Keep making clips. encourage
