I’m an iPhone 12 Pro user myself and my battery is superb. However back to the point, there are many POINTLESS features a lot of these Samsung have enabled by default and if they don’t apply to you which many wouldn’t you have the option to disable them. These Samsung phones are crazy on features I know but one of my friends has the new S21 FE and his phone runs circles around my iPhone. Sad to say, but it is true and that’s not necessarily a ‘great phone’ in my eyes.

Don't give the fake benchmarks more credit than they are worth. A minimalistic and scaled down os like ios that does half of what android can do will seem faster and seem like it's better optimized because the os does so much less than android. When there is less processing due to lack of innovation and features then the battery will definitely last longer and seem like everything is "more optimized" when in reality it's just the fact that you can't do much with it and the phone does less.

All things considered, I'm pretty happy with the S22 after a couple months. Feels super nice in the hand, compact, I like the bricky design a lot (maybe in that one I'd like iphone's edges even more, but the sort of matte glass back finish absolutely nails it against iphone's shiny glass, looks more premium imo, so that's 1:1). Camera's pretty good, usage wise i haven't yet encountered any lags and stutters, calls quality is being very good, speakers I almost never use (got headphones for that), but they are somewhat solid, though not really a high end music station - but that's to be expected from a phone speaker. Overall a solid experience and I won't be switching soon.
One downside to the phone. I used to go with S10 lite as my daily option, a much bigger phone that had a battery capacity of 4500 mAh without being as cutting edge in tech as S22 is (although it was still a good piece for the price!) so I was used to eaaasily getting through the day with like 50-60% battery left. On S22, with AoD, the 120 Hz adaptive display, never holding back on apps usage, reading books on it whenever i can etc. I can barely get through a workday of 8 hours (if it doesn't actually die before that mark) and that's after unplugging it from a charger at 100% before leaving and my obsession with the screen being at minimum brightness most of the day. If i charge my phone to full and just leave it at my bedside at night it goes down to like 90% overnight + another 5-15% listening to music or reading on my way to work (so I start my morning coffee at work with like 76% left already). I legit always carry a charging brick with me, although it does easily charge up from the 30-50 ish % to like 90 in half a hour if not less, so I usually just plug it for a moment at some point of my day and leave home with a full charge. Now, I barely use it at home, so with only minimal usage and AoD on it easily gets to the night with like 60-70% left. Again not only I abuse it most of the time I'm outside, it also is one of my worktools (photos, calls, emails and all the other stuff), so it might be a little better for an average user.
TL;DR: S22's great if you don't mind charging it twice a day or you aren't a super heavy user. Battery life's awful compared to bulkier, more battery life focused smartphones. I'm still happy with it though! Just making sure I always have a charger in my backpack : D

I have had iphone 13 pro max for a year as a main phone and loved every bit of it amazing battery life great cameras so on and so forth however its quite heavy and not very comfortable to use considering I had used XS and 6S before this max/plus size variant on daily basis. I recently started shopping around for a smaller phone. Used 13 mini for a week and found it quite nice due to its smaller size and comfort yet nothing appealing. So got S22 a few days ago and man I'm loving this phone in every aspect. I have used S9 in the past and this phone is miles ahead. Improved smoothness with the new OS and cameras are much better the battery is amazing overall the phone has an appeal and character to it. The display is the first thing you notice, almost no bezzles and a flat screen with such a beautiful design. The only thing I'll be changing is the colour. I went for a phantom black which to me seems quite charactless I'd rather go for green or white. And yes I get to choose phone's within 30 day cooling off in case if anyone wonders how do I get to test these phones lol I might even try S22 ultra but the whole point is to have a phone smaller than 13 pro max. Thought of standard 13 or 13 pro as well or Sony xperia pro or mark 4 but S22 for now seems like the better option.

But apples marketing is so good that people believe everything they see and hear. Even tho apple really sucks and is still stuck in the past with that 60hz display people keep buying their phones. Apart from that apple phones can't do anything outside of their bubble, unless you jailbreak the phone, but that puts your phone at risk, samsung android can do things inside or outside the bubble, and download content from anywhere while still having the same amount of great security as apple, in today's age most phones have the best security

    What about repairability?
Apple forces users to repair their phones at authorized repair shops that charge you absurd amounts of money. In terms of design, iPhones are designed to replace the whole motherboard in case a minor component fails (faulty components are pretty common!). If you replace a component like the screen on a 3rd party repair shop (or by yourself), functions as FaceID will stop working, even if you replace your screen with an Apple's original one.

The difference between them is really noticeable, and I don't mind if the battery drains a bit faster on the s22 , it still does have a decent battery life, and being able to shoot videos in 8k is pretty cool , along with the in display finger print scanner which is really convenient. @Lizzex Pƙed 2 lety +1

@@themayomonster. I mean it really depends on your usage and preference what you need in your phone. I used my s20 since it came out with 120hz aswell and I really had to think if I really want the 13 or not. I have other devices with up to 240hz so its kinda a nice feature for me. In the end I still picked the 13 even with the 60hz cause I like the optimisation of the phone overall and it feels smooth in ways my old Phone never did, atleast not in the way it does now, but it was still more than alright. And yes depending on the price options you have it makes the difference what you choose in the end. If you already prefer a phone by their features and the price seems more valuable for you than the other then you obviously pick the right one for you.
