HOW TO: 3-Pin Switch for White and Amber Position Lights

- In this short video, we demonstrate how to connect our latest generation of Triple-R products with white and amber position/side light functions, so that at the flick of a switch you can alternate between the different colours, or turn off the position/side light function altogether and just have the lights operating as high beam driving lights only.
This solution requires purchase of a separate 3-pin switch not included with the light or wiring harness kits. The same process applies to other Lazer lamps products with white and amber position light options, including the Sentinel range of round LED lights.

I have just bought these lights. I am thinking to avoid having 2x switches down at the lights end, I replace the 3 way connector for a the same type 4 way and add a 6 way 3 position switch up near the battery, maybe in a waterproof box with the relay?
If you supplied power to both at the same time, would both white and Amber illuminate to create a warm white mix? Or would you damage something?
There'd be no issue to provide power to both white and amber LEDs.
Would you know which feed to take from the sidelights of a 2018 transit custom? Cheers 🍻
Hi Matt, usually I take my feed for the position lights from an ignition live so that they are on as soon as the vehicle is started. You can find where we take the ignition feed from the instructions found in the link below

What happens if you get a supply voltage to both colours at the same time, a faulty switch for instance. Does one colour take priority or would it cause damage
Our lights have a transient voltage suppressor, albeit any potential damage depends how much voltage!

Hi Daniel. We're only showing the side/position light function in this video. We have other videos on our CZcams channel that show the high beam performance.
Do y'all have any bigger size lights with two position lights??
The lamp in the video is our Triple-R 750 (4 reflectors), we also have 850 (6), 1000 (8), and 1250 (12).

Hi, The Elite version of the Triple R lamps do not have position light function. The Position light is only available on the Triple R standard series.
