Nice restoration on your defiance lantern & a new addition of a short globe defiance lantern there Ken!🙂👍 Yes Had my Adlake lantern, Dietz comet & my newest lantern ( The 10” tall anchor lantern from W.T.kirkman lanterns ) with me on my camping vacation at a local lodge! Yes every camper loved my lanterns & yes I was the popular lantern guy there! 🙂🙂 It was lantern time for sure at camp at the lodge!🙂🙂

Speaking of the heat. It's interesting how a lantern is absolutely way too hot for indoors in the summer months, and in the winter months it can't even make a difference in the bitter cold temperatures indoors.

Boy you aint kidn about the heat. Its a sauna in my garage. Beautiful work on the lantern. Im smitten with the brass fount. Im putting one on my radar, looking kind of empty here. So, yeah I need a brass fount Defiance in my life, lol.
Yes keep an eye out for one it’s an awesome lantern and hopefully we get a little break from the heat 👌

No unfortunately mine are unmarked globes
Great stuff! It's so hot here that I don't want to light a lantern. I'm fortunate that I burn my lanterns in my house and I smoke my pipes in my house. I will have to wait until it cools down to light a lantern 👍
Yes I know exactly what you mean we had a bad thunderstorm here and lost power for a while a few evenings ago and I actually didn’t light anything because it was already starting to get pretty warm inside without the AC running.
@@lotsatrains Yes I understand. I have several L.E.D. lanterns that I use during power outages. Also a good battery powered fan
