Air Transat A330 Economy Class Trip Report Montreal YUL to Paris CDG Is it Worth the Low Cost ?

Overall of a relatively good Flight, the product was decent for the lower coast of there fair however, it doesn’t quite live up to Legacy carriers like Air Canada’s, or Air France is offering. Was definitely glad to be able to try out and review the A330 on a longer route than Montreal to Toronto ahead of going to the Paris airshow for the A350f livery design competition. The second flight I have flown with Air Transat on their A330 was on the way back from Paris CDG to Toronto YYZ that aircraft was registered C-GBUF

Dans l’ensemble d’un vol relativement bon, le produit était correct pour la côte inférieure de là-bas, mais il n’est pas tout à fait à la hauteur des transporteurs traditionnels comme Air Canada ou Air France. J'étais vraiment heureux de pouvoir essayer et tester l'A330 sur un trajet plus long que Montréal vers Toronto avant de me rendre au salon aéronautique de Paris pour le concours de conception de livrée de l'A350f. Le deuxième vol que j'ai effectué avec Air Transat sur leur A330 était au retour de Paris CDG à Toronto YYZ. Cet avion était immatriculé C-GBUF.

I did not find Air Transat to be that much cheaper vs. Air Canada. For some destinations, the price is indeed lower but not by much. For a similar price , I would prefer taking Air Canada over Air Transat. The B789 is so much nicer than the A323 Air Transat operates( too bad none of them flies A350's)

Great video! I flew an air transat A330 -200 G-CUBT a month or two back towards the back of the aircraft there is a 2-4-2 seat formation, I am 6’4 and I thought the leg room was quite good I think I was in seat 49 K which was the double seats. Then on the way back I flew on the a330-300 C-GTSD!

Old planes belonging to other companies are sold to these companies for use in the field of tourism. In all honesty, the seats are very small. Between one person and another, you are unable to place your hand, and here is the problem. At the same time, prices are very high. For this reason, many Canadians do not go to tourism. Tourism is a health condition. Tourism is the future of everyone. Tourism is the removal of many diseases and worries, especially in Canada. Everyone is under the control of the bank. Everyone is under the control of debts.

9 abreast in an A330 is just unacceptable. I had hoped no airline would kick off that precedent. I don't know if Transat were first but I know its rare. I don't like seeing it at all as it kind of gives other airlines ideas. Look what happened with the 777. Only way I'd fly on that aircraft is Club up front.

Air Transat has a seat pitch of 78cm, similar to what other airliners that are considered higher end offer (i.e Lufthansa, Air Canada). What is "low cost" for them is the actual service plus the fact that you may feel the age of their aircrafts.
