    We've had THE BEST OF TIMES on our NC500 adventure - possibly because we totally lucked out with the weather. How was your own NC500 experience? Did anyone get blown off Whaligoe Steps? Did you manage to frolic more elegantly than me (not a hard feat I guess)? Let me know! 🌅

      What about a trip to the RSPB nature preserve in Aberdeenshire with the wild ponies and wonderful birding. Loch of Strothberg. There are some beautiful old buildings in that area and the Lighthouse Museum in Fraserburgh.

      I couldn't believe just how beautiful the area was - and the landscape changes from coast to coast too, so one never becomes bored! (Although, fair warning, the North part of the coastal drive was indeed mostly amazing beaches and not much else .D but not complaining!)

    Great insights on this tour video and lovely scenery and nature sights. I cant's wait to get back in a few months to explore more of my heritage land. Scotland is a beautiful country and the people make it all that much better. Cities there are slowly succumbing to typical UK and Euro immigrations schemes, but it is still primarily as it was, as it is, and as it should be. Beautiful, friendly and fun! Thanks as always Kakibot! You've become an asset to the country!

    Neskutečná nádhera ♥Musí se mít na dron ve Skotsku nějaké povolení? U nás jakmile má dron nad čtvrt kila a kameru tak se musí registrovat, aby měl vlastní SPZ :D Kocourkov trošku...

    I read that Inverness Castle holds the law courts.

  • @PaulEcosse
    @PaulEcosse Před rokem +2

    The No Drones signs are just a request, not a lawful order. They have no rihht to stop you filming in those areas. Only flight resistrictions are near airports and prisons, but your Drone Assist App will give you that information up to the minute. Mini III is under 250g so know your drone law, because the land owners clearly do and try to pull a fast one with these official looking signs.

    • @Kakibot
      @Kakibot  Před rokem

      Thanks! We were playing it safe as it was our first trip with the drone - but past the east coast I don’t think we’ve seen any more of these signs! A friend of ours pointed out that once the drone is up in the air, not much anyone can do to stop you 😅

    • @weedronie
      @weedronie Před rokem

      There is actually an ancient bylaw from the year 1965, which today gives National Trust sites marginal lawful right to ban drones at their property just by the sheer power of stretching the interpretation of the law to its limits (obviously there were no drones in 1965). In my experience, it is much better for everyone to just step outside into public space and take off from there. The more are people bothered by drones, the stronger the restrictions are going to be. 😢😢

    How much time do you recommend to take off to have a relaxing NC 500 holiday?

    • @Kakibot
      @Kakibot  Před rokem

      I think that for someone who is not also shooting a video while travelling, the six nights would probably be pretty relaxing! If I had an extra day I'd probably spend it on the East coast before hitting Wick. A bit of extra time to explore Tongue and Thurso would also be great - I think splitting the extra day of time among these things would be my ideal plan!
      And if I wanted to live truly luxuriously, I'd also add an extra half day towards the end to do some sort of whale/dolphin trip OR the rigid inflatable boat trip from Wick to Whaligoe steps for a bit of adrenaline! .)
