This guy has something so many singers miss, emotion. Singing is the act of telling a story through melody. Telling a story without emotion is like eating food without flavor. You get the nourishment you need but the experience just leaves your brain.
In this song you can feel his emotion. The longing and sadness mixed with resigned acceptance. He loves someone and wants them to love him back, but he knows they don't and doesn't hold that against them, so he lets them go. All he asks for is to make one final loving memory before he gives it up entirely.
Warm music, warm interpretation, warm reaction. I'm loving it.

I would not typically listen to Jazz or R&B music but since I've stumbled across Teddy, I listen to all his covers and the originals and have a new appreciation for these music genres. Love it!

Teddy sings Like An Angel listen to him sing Tennessee whiskey it'll blow your mind he has no backup singers he does it all alone other people like simpleton and the first singer who it was made for in 1988 CEO that's his name they have backup singers for the part where they do you know Tennessee whiskey sweet as Strawberry Wine but this man Teddy he does it alone and he looks wonderful so his voice his face everything about him is perfect he's an angel Hill singing Heaven one day he should be famous here on Earth
