@@KareemAldulaimi21 Iraq's Army in both gulf war 91 and 03, still significantly outnumbered the invading force, the number of nations participating is irrelevant. Did the participants matter to israel in the 6 day war? No. The Israelis literally spanked every neighboring country so hard that they begged for peace in SIX DAYS. Iraqi soldiers had zero will to fight and were using 1960s/70s equipment. The battle of 73 Easting in Gulf war 1 is a perfect example where like 8 M1A1's with bradley recon support obliterated an entire republican guard armored division with practically 0 casualties.
Technology, training and morale > numbers ESPECIALLY, in a conventional war. The Iraqi's should have gone Guerilla from the outset. Insurgents in pajamas have had far more lasting power than the "mighty" Iraqi Army.
Tim are you serious? Iraq was so unafraid That it lunched more than 38 rockets on Israel. America doesn’t tell the truth. They’re always the nice guys fighting evil when they’re literally the ones supplying ISSIS. And how is the number of countries coming against Iraq Irrelevant?
Don't forget about the great nation of Nauru! The Philippines is an odd choice. I mean, it makes sense if we're talking about tech capabilities but that's not the reason why the Philippines is still alive and kicking butts. The country survived numerous invasions, terrorist attacks, and two world wars. It is also a founding member of so many international organizations and joined notable battles like the Korean War, or the Vietnam War. There's no doubt that the Philippines played an important role in recent world history, not even mentioning the history before that. They're still modernizing the army tho so I still don't get why it is on the list.
The list is bs bro. Dosnt mean its right. There are loads of much weaker militaries out there , this list was compiled by people who don't know jack about military affairs/ strategy.
What about the armies of Somalia, or South Sudan,or Gambia, or Liberia,Or Sierra Leone,Or Lichtenstein etc. I know of so much more weaker militaries.
So the army of Mozambique or Zimbabwe or the small army of Montenegro are more powerful than the Fillipino military? The army of Cambodia or Loas is stronger than them too?
Equatorial Guinea or Madagascar has an army stronger than the Phillipines armed forces.
Moldova's army is stronger than the Phillipines? The army Kyrgyzstan is stronger than them too?
Cyprus has a bigger stronger army than the Phillipines now?
Djibouti military is stringer than the Phillipines?
The modern well equipped but much smaller armies of Kuwait and Bahrain are stronger than the Phillipines one? Brunei has a stronger army than Phillipines?
All these countries and more have official standing armies(militaries), regardless of their size.
I can think of many other nations who are weaker militarily than the Phillipines, which proves this lady and the people who made this list don't know anything about military affairs, even experts that rank armies wouldn't come up with a list like that.
There are about 200 officially recognized countries (as full U.N member states),over half of them have national armies. Two thirds have military style forces.
How tf is the Phillipines one of the world's weakest? Its not even close. Is Nepal or Bhutan stronger than the Phillipines? Macedonia has a smaller less powerful army.
I can literally think of dozens of weaker states(militarily) than the Phillipines.
The Phillipine armed forces are actually a well-equipped experinced fighting force, with lots of good competent professional soldiers and especially their special forces guys, and they do have modern weaponry except for a modern air force but a lot of countries don't even have aircraft like the Phillipines or no air force altogether.
The Phillipino army has decades of counter insurgency and battle combat experience, their land army has a large number of good soldiers. I'm not even Phillipino and know this.
Its just a list mentioned compiled by people who google stuff and dont have a real and proper meaningful understanding of how armies are meant to be ranked and what makes them more powerful over others.
So the armies of Botswana,Angola, Peru,Ecuador, The Congo,Namibia, the Central African Republic,Mali,
Honduras, Guatamala, El-Salvador, Mongolia,Rwanda,Ivory Coast, Ghana,Guyana,Haiti, Dominican Republic ,East-Timor, Papua New Guinea,Solomon Islands,Fiji, Panama,Malta,Zambia,Uganda, Mauritania, Niger,Cameroon,Senegal and more ,all have official national standing armies, but yet these countries would defeat the Phillipines Armed Forces and incl. paramilitaries in an all-out war now and are more stronger armies than them???

The Hilterjugend (Hitler's Youth) was not an actual military force, but an organisation where young Germans could be prepared for a possible later military duty, kind of like the modern day ukranian summer camps, where teens learn how to shoot and the military drill, exercise etc.
There were child soldiers in Germany though, when the war went to an end in 1944/45 and the Volkssturm was activated, which lead to a total mobilization, calling elders and teens to arms.

Even Britain in WW1 used child soldiers. They didn’t intentionally conscript children but if a boy who was at least 12 who looked the slightest bit 16 tried to join, they would let him. You could argue that we still technically use child soldiers today considering the age to join is 16 rather than 18, but I’m fairly certain that as of right now you have to be 18 to actually be deployed, could be wrong though.
British naval vessels just a century earlier used small boys to carry the powder packages to the guns because storing that for every gun on the deck would be kinda risky in case of a fire, thus the powder was stored far below. The boys were called "powder monkeys".

I wouldn't underestimate the Philippines or North Korea.
North korea can't even feed their troops. it would be pretty easy to defeat north korea. if a war broke out and troops were shipped over all you would have to do is put a sign up in Korean saying, free food for deserters
@@houseofaction thats actually a very good point. Many would probably be ready to desert in an instant but the loyal ones I bet would be a pain in the ass to fight

And yes they are experienced at Jungle warfare
I went to Costa Rica around 2013 in a business travel. I did some research to know the kind of country it was and what I found out is that officially it didn’t have a military. I was very surprised to find out. But historically seems like Costa Rica hasn’t really needed one. When countries in Latin America became independent from Spain, they also granted Costa Rica independence, without them ever fighting a way. I don’t think there is a lot of resources there. Their main industries are hospitality and coffee production. So why would another country try to take that land by force.
They do have a lot of police officers and they look well armed and trained (at least they were very professional when I talked to them).
Anyway, this is based on what I can remember reading. By no means I’m an expert on Costa Rica history or geopolitics so if someone knows more please feel free to correct me.
As an American living in the Philippines, the main issue is funding. Corruption takes what little funds they get and the terrain does not allow heavy equipment, so the military does not look like most other militaries. For what the terrain is and what they have, they are decent. Plus the recent offensive against the NPA has showcased the power of the AFP.
