Lots of these things that are labelled as "convenience" products were originally designed for elderly or disabled people in mind. I can imagine that this might be useful for someone who doesn't have very good grip strength and might not be able to squeeze a tube themselves (although it does look a bit fiddly so maybe not)

U can use a bobby pin if the scissors don't work for you. Pretty similar and cheap compared to the gadget tbh 😊

It’s actually originally used for fancy expensive paint tubes. It squeeze out every last drop. Those tubes are sometimes metal and hard to squeeze without a tool. They adapted it for toothpaste and stuff too. I bought a pack of 3, use one for toothpaste, one for my fancy Sun dried tomato paste tube that’s impossible to squeeze by hand, and one for my paint tubes.
My mom uses this weird hair clip that looks like a Bobby pin, she just pushes the clip higher and it works lol

As Asian we been taught to use the toothbrush handle as tool to push the remaining toothpaste from bottom to up.then when you thought the whole tube is done. NO!!! Cut it. Use scissors. U still have good for 2-3 use of toothpaste trying to hide from u. Thats how u do it. Thanks grandma😍

we went on a competition for a school event, and my roomie had one of these! Worked like a charm, but she agreed that it was highly unnecessary. (it was an impulse buy)
there's a much better, simpler tube squeezer than this, it's 1 piece with a slit in the middle where you place the end of the tube in between and push forward as you consume more of the product.
As an indian our mother use so many technique but my favourite is rolling the tube in rollin pin aka bealan

THIS IS NOT REUSABLE. I had one of those but it seems to be usable only once. The white thing will be loose after one use and cannot go back to its original shape. Too much plastic for it not to be reusable.

If you have a roti roller, just use it to roll on the tube and you are done. A lot easier than this gadget.

If you're gonna use one of those, its better to use a metal painttube squeezer.
We hold the toothpaste against the wall and just push it from the bottom with the backside of the toothbrush 🤷
okay hear me out, i know this is suppose to be for toothpaste. but i kinda use it for my acrylic paint tubes… IT WORKS ALRIGHT! at least now, the paint worth every single penny! 👍🏻
