Labor continues to lie about the housing crisis

- The Albanese government is at it again, blaming the lack of supply for Australia's housing crisis, rather than its absurd immigration intake.
Article version of presentation here: www.macrobusiness.com.au/2024...
Migrants housed straight off the plane , this is unfair to Australian people
yup, simply put when there's a shortage of housing you need to ease up on migration, otherwise you get social issues where the short sighted and bitter take it out on the immigrants
@@jimbothegymbro7086 - who do you think does all the shitty jobs in Australia??
@@sometingwongwai9679 right now it's immigrants, my last job was a remediation technician, TLDR the role was cleaning up water and sewage damage in houses, I got sacked because they went head hunting in the Philippines, I lost a job literally mopping up crap to immigration
@@jimbothegymbro7086 - why did they want to use a Filo?? when the company has to pay the same award??
@@sometingwongwai9679 given a lot of companies in that industry require a relationship with the insurance and construction companies to function it makes competition in that industry tricky, which effectively monopolizes it in the employers hands, if you want to work in that industry you get paid what you get paid you just get time and a half when dealing with septic, except I suspect that the immigrants are more tolerant of poor pay due to the Visa requirements they need to meet, not saying anything factual it's just a hunch given the mindsets and attitudes of the bosses
pretty much stopping immigration forces crap employers to be accountable since locals are more vocal while also giving opportunities to locals that they would otherwise not get, I don't hate the immigrants themselves I just hate the issues excessive immigration creates
I was surprised Albanese was elected Prime Minister. He always struck me as a spineless goof. My instincts were correct.
He wasn’t elected on 32%
The scam is our preference system
It needs to be abolished!
Lets supply another million houses and sell them to foreign investors. That should fix nothing

We should all be very grateful for the work of Leith, especially young people.
Truly a voice in the wilderness.
The young are too busy being vocal for every other noble issue rather than looking after themselves first.
My house has been valued by $500.000 more than 4year ago, not because it's $500.000 better but because of the acute shortage of housing caused by the acute immigration explosion. I'm no wealthier the next property I buy will have also gone up the same amount. Not to mention the gov stamp duty. Well done Albo
Could be a scam whereas the banks are hoping all those that can take out an equity housing loan at higher rates will do so,
Labor is bankrupt when it comes to ethics
Yes they like Ukraine better then Australia.
The irony is you’d think they’d be marginally better than the Liberals but they’re just the same arse holes. Young people are understandably angry and l don’t blame them, there the ones we should be looking after.
No this is all a part of the globalist plan.
So is the liberal party(other half of the uni-party)
@@dave9547 their definitely crappy, but they are far better than Labor.
Reduce migration
The political and business class has been 'addicted' to importing customers for half a century as easy economic growth. Reduction would be radical as well as environmentally and ecologically desirable too
Labor could not run a tuck shop. None of them have a had job out side government.
Just like the other lot 😜
Most Australians couldn't tell the difference from a horses head to its arse the politicians are a reflection of Australians voting public
@@Noddy2750Dutton was a police officer for years. Pauline ran her own business
The issue is excessive immigration to hide a failed economy. Both parties are responsible. We need leadership and answers. We need to cut immigration and give first priority for housing to Australians. That is why any government is elected. To put the people first.
I know of an American who left Australia after 10 years back to America because she said she would never be able to own a home here but it is roughly half the price it is here, you know Australia is in trouble when America is a better option.
Damn straight
There are quite a few nations now that offer a better life.

As a 32 year old trying to navigate through this mess I appreciate what you are doing Leith, keep bringing light to these issues.
Go back and see what people like Fraser, Hawke and Rudd did to wreck your future prospects. Allowing foreigner real estate investment for instance back in the 1980s.
@@FindAReason-mi7goMacrobusiness is critical of both sides of politics. Both sides are just as bad as each other with differences being slight differences in the makeup of the visa categories.
@@mattrodger7097 No, it's not just slight differences, the LNP have never had Net overseas migration above Net 260k in one year, whereas it was a record Net 316k under Rudd in 2009, and now Albanese has taken it into the stratosphere, and per the ABS, it was Net 548k in the 2023 calendar year! That is more than double the highest ever number under the LNP and 313,000 more people higher in one year, than in the year prior to covid when Net o/s migration was Net 235k.
Voting for one nation for the first time in my life. Doubt I will be alone.
Good on you, remember to put the coalition in the number 2 spot on the ticket, or you'll end up with a Labor govt.
@@jamesaustralian9829 Will do but expect Labor to get smashed this election.
yeah, liberals and labor both played their part in getting us in their mess (labor for their humanitarian browny points, and liberals for their corpo cheap workers) one nation is about the only sensible option on the table, the greens are just labor but higher than snoop dog and the others are ineffective
I'm considering voting for the nasty racist red haired lady too. Never thought I'd see the day, but OneNation are the only party holding seats who are standing against this madness.
@@jamesaustralian9829 As long as you put coalition above Labor, it makes no difference if Coalition is 2nd or 2nd last when it comes to Labor coming out on top. However, you decrease the chances of all candidates in-between Coalition and Labor.
This has been going on for years, it is their playbook. Australians won't stand up so we get what we deserve.
We'll stand.up this time won't we?I've never seen a government this bad in my 80 years.Surely there is some action we can take to recover some dignity from this heartless government. They are deliberately destroying our economy and lifestyle .We have to start meeting at local electorate level and plan a course of action .
True.
The greens must be relentlessly held to the carbon cost of immigration
The only area of consistency with Labor is INCOMPETENCE.
So , the Liberals will slash immigration immediately if they win office.Correct?
This really needs to get through to Government, every single person you talk to knows what the problem is and it’s migration. So sick of this country how your almost looked as a racist for saying this is the problem. Put Aussies first
How else is the government going to Man the submarines and the gaps in the Army 🤷
Yep,fed up too.
At some point people need to see "political correctness" (woke) for what it really is, a tool of control.

Polititians are only interested in feathering their own nest while the tree is rotting.
Let's build another 800k poor quality homes and bring in another 1.6Mil immigrants to add some more demand just to make sure property prices don't fall. Albo and his men have it all worked out. Do all this when labour and materials are in shortage and prices sky-high.. Albo got to be a rocket scientist...
I just drove through sanctuary cove gold coast. A lot of empty homes
No one talks about the million houses empty on census night. AirBnBs need to be taxed like commercial hotels.

Excellent thank you compulsory listening
2.5 mil are on temporary ?
Wow, thats what...10% almost of the people in Australia..
Easy way to start to fix things - all temporary visa holders must leave at the end of their visa term and turn off new immigration
Sounds exactly like what the Uk is doing

All part of the plan....
& the US
Exactly… different countries… different governments… yet all using the same playbook.
They are all being told to do this.
They all are importing customers to stimulate the economy with mass urbanisation. After deindustrialization and mass debts, it's all they have left to offer.
Thanks! You couldn't have said it better!
Great stuff. So true.we are led by traitors.
Thank you for this.
Good on you Leith, exposing the real causes. I don't care which political party it is, if you can't do the right thing by your citizens then lets name and shame the bs.
These formats are great - can share with ‘everyday’ day aussies who can digest without going into huge detail!
Every single week there is a development proposal for airbnb properties in the city I live in. All of them get approved. This has devastated the rental market here. Immigration needs to be capped at a reasonable level too.
MORE INDIANS?! Surely we don't need more Uber drivers here.
Yep you’ll get flooded with even more of them. They are lined up by the hundreds of thousands to come here
Are we all going to settle with expressing our “rights” to whinge online or are we actually going to do something about this?
They have investments - not good for prices to drop
Bingo 🎉
And literally everything else
Mark my words, the pendulum always swings back!!!. Labour and all property investors who screw home ownership rights away from others WILL face economic destruction
Trouble is that it will take decades to fix.
Thank you Leith for really getting fired up because our kids have been thrown under the bus, The dumb masses have to become politicly aware and do do something about it instead of watching Home and Away or the ABC. Bon Scott was right, Highway to Hell.
Excellent monologue Leith VO. Keep up the urgent tone of this upload particularly. Very good work
This problem started long before ALP got elected. Also it is following the UN directive to let them all in no matter what.
This disgraceful government took Net overseas migration from Net 184k in the financial year that ended one month after the election, to Net 528k in just 12months per The ABS!! Net migration had never exceeded Net 316k before which happened in 2009 under Rudd, and never had exceeded Net 260k under the LNP before. It was Net 235k under the LNP in the year prior to covid.
Yes we needed workers but not only did Labor open the tap up they did it with boiling water.
Why do we need workers? To try to catch up with the massive backlog of building. Why do we have a massive backlog of building work? We have imported ridiculous numbers of people. The only way this ends is ugly.
Millions of houses are lying vacant or locked because of negative gearing and Capital gain tax. So renters have to pay for people who already have more than one house. How cruel, but God sees all this scams and one day he will reply to these fraudsters who made such policies.
Vote One Nation. We have to smash the status quo.
Criminal behaviour?
Labor Party and the truth don't even live on the same block! How do you know when Albanese is about to lie to Australians, his lips move!
And the problem is they wont go home when finishing their corses .stay on working!!😮
We are so fucked.
Thanks for the vid Leith. This is an important message! Keep up the good work.
Do they have political immunity from criminal and corporate law.? accountability when one lies to stakeholders for indirect personal financial gain. Or part of their existing portfolio, eg. company's expenses? No questions asked..? Just trying to make sense of how they say one thing and do another and is never to the benefit of the stakeholders they publicly represent. Its not their money. We are now at $1.3B we have DONATED to AID?,( U.S. weapon manufacturers) through ukraine government. Out of control.
Have seen photos of boarded up public housing.
If they want a big Australia they need more Major Cities , Smaller States and less red tape , but we are no longer a manufacturing Country, and AI Will take over many many jobs the future looks bleak for many.
Thanked Leith . For for being truthful.
worth commenting that the new homes being built in Australia today are 40 per cent less energy efficient than those in developed countries with similar climates. The dumb country...
Labor is all mouth and no substance.
The short vids are good. Heaps better
2600k asylum seekers in june 24 asylum seekers thats 1 month 300 from china.
I agree with you, thr migration is out of control, probably worse than the southern USA border by ratio of population
100% truth
It is not a demand issue it is a fraud issue. Remove the negative gearing and Capital gain tax and see the price of houses going down. But ultimately all fraud policies have their logical ending. God bless 🙏🙏🙏
I keep telling you its only ketchup migration dont panic its all good. Signed your PM albo 👍 🇦🇺
Immigration doubled under John Howard’s term.
Yes, but somehow he came across as "tough" on borders, oh that's right he used the bait and switch by scapegoating a few hundred boat people, whilst thousands came in with his blessing via planes.
@@helpelaine3927 Bingo! Refugees are just the smoke screen and fall guy for corporate desired legal mass immigration to keep wages and conditions down and house assets skyrocketing. They want working people Sick, poor and lonely.
No crisis...... all our politicians have somewhere to live.
What a bunch of losers the Labour Party are
House needy Australians 1st Labor! Lower migration right back!
Even if the Liberal party set immigration to zero, it would take 6 years of building 166,000 houses per year (the amount built in 2023) to catch up to the immigrants allowed in by Albo. And another 2-3 to get a supply to start lowering prices. We're screwed. We can't afford Labor's bad policies.
More people need to realise that there is no Labor or Liberal party, there is one, "LibLabs", designed to make it look like there is a "choice", policies are more similar than different.
Australia is 18 years behind building houses to the Australian people let alone more people coming here to Australia
Labour is my favourite honest leader I love Albo the gentleman. Mum can I have my medication now.
I have a tent for rent in my backyard, free use of porta potty, empty onto nearby council land. Hose in backyard for showing, no hot water. $300 per week, $5000 bond, no car space.
Yes, in agreement. Just confused why the LNP doesn't get a flogging for their large part in this tragedy?
Lying politicians??? Can't be true 😂😂😂
You appear to be a lone voice, yet the voice of so many, Leith.
For once there is pushback against the monied owners of politicians on both sides.
I recall alarm bells ringing post Keating when commentators were saying low tariffs and free trade could only work if there was also free movement of people.
There was a lot of political persuasion to Australians on the former but silence on the latter.
Rex Connor was probably right in the Whitlam govt holding up resource development hoping to ensure Australians best interests were served.
Most of our key assets have gone into foreign hands since then.
When have labour ever told the truth?
Thank you Leith, your ability to get this point across in a reasonable manner, that is hard to discount as being "racist", which is how "they" often shut down debate about this issue.
Sadly excessive immigration is indeed a major issue with regards to housing, but our eCONomy is really the problem, as it relies on a constant flow of bodies to "stimulate" it. To summarise, our economic diversity is stuffed.
Not too many in the ALP are there to help Albo. He has nowhere to turn. It is like that in Australia. If you are not a mate, you are on your own! Albo is not from the UNIONS. What is he doing in the top job with a non UNION background?
Odd the same thing is happening in Scotland
I'm trying to understand this, A migrant from a 3rd world country comes to Australia through a skilled visa usually a shitty job that Aussies won't do, they spend all their Money getting here, work on usually lower wages, have no idea about how the country work or have any contacts in higher places, and ends up buying a house before Aussies that been there all their lives??
Keep up the good work leith. These videos need to be posted in social media

Secure reasonably priced housing fundamental for a stable society. They know what they are doing in creating this housing crisis. Question is why?
It was a problem before labour got it. Let’s talk about the generational wealth gap of residents that have houses and or own more than one property. And while we are at it let’s look at houses purchased by people offshore that like to wash their dirty money through. The country is ran with poor economic policies and It’s more than one issue unfortunately.
You know where there isn't a rental crisis.. The suburbs where the immigrants congregate.. You know where there is a rental crisis.. The suburbs where everyone else wants to live..
I can't comprehend why an oversea student that works par time in shitty low paid jobs, gets rentals in the open market before an Aussie with a permanent job?? why is that, can't seem to understand??

Still can't understand how they get the rental property preference
My mum is selling property at the moment and why in a housing crisis there not selling there empty until they do its just no one will buy or rent at the price of either the government has a big and self made problem
I believe all the redevelopment in every existing suburb turning them into a “micro city” is soo alarming because if this has happened and migration intake are the same as they are now this will not solve the housing crisis mine as well turn every house even heritage listed into appartments and still not solve anything rents will still be high prices will still be high, I will no longer recognise my home around me anymore, many lively hoods would be ruined. the country side will be a better quality of life than the city suburbs like Sydney.
Does anyone still believe the current situation (in most of the world) is not delibarate?🤔
I couldn’t agree more. Excellent analysis as always.
It's one thing to have a cvnt- but to be one- is another...
Agree with you Albo. does not want a recession in Aust under his 'time' , the more his policies are discussed the more the word gets out there to people, Aust. is in a recession the commercial TV doesn't talk about it, immigration, housing crisis, cost of living, to the people already here, it has exploded under Albo
