You appear to be a lone voice, yet the voice of so many, Leith.
For once there is pushback against the monied owners of politicians on both sides.
I recall alarm bells ringing post Keating when commentators were saying low tariffs and free trade could only work if there was also free movement of people.
There was a lot of political persuasion to Australians on the former but silence on the latter.
Rex Connor was probably right in the Whitlam govt holding up resource development hoping to ensure Australians best interests were served.

Sadly excessive immigration is indeed a major issue with regards to housing, but our eCONomy is really the problem, as it relies on a constant flow of bodies to "stimulate" it. To summarise, our economic diversity is stuffed.

It was a problem before labour got it. Let’s talk about the generational wealth gap of residents that have houses and or own more than one property. And while we are at it let’s look at houses purchased by people offshore that like to wash their dirty money through. The country is ran with poor economic policies and It’s more than one issue unfortunately.

I believe all the redevelopment in every existing suburb turning them into a “micro city” is soo alarming because if this has happened and migration intake are the same as they are now this will not solve the housing crisis mine as well turn every house even heritage listed into appartments and still not solve anything rents will still be high prices will still be high, I will no longer recognise my home around me anymore, many lively hoods would be ruined. the country side will be a better quality of life than the city suburbs like Sydney.
