I think that my NB was as good as it got. Started with a 10AE 6 speed hardtop, added turbo (325 rwhp), upgraded rear diff to 3.636:1, ride height adj coil-overs, 12 inch brembos, ssr integrals, bfg R1 or Yoko a008rsii rubber, mazdaspeed type f seats, and a harddog rollbar. It ran 12.70's at 115 MPH all day (while setup for road courses) and was my daily driver. It was just perfect.
bring back the pop up headlights man. technology is way more advanced then it was back then im pretty sure they could put impact sensors on the bumper to retract the headlights fast enough in the horrible case if the car hits someone. hate how everyones headlights just become nasty and yellow overtime cuz of the elements

The essense of the Miata is the nimble drive and the lively balance. The original tire and suspension setup allowed for nice rotation and slight drifting despite being low on power. A fun drive!
Reducing suspension travel, stiffening the ride and putting on wide tires only takes away that original driving experience everyone fell in love with back in ’89.
It is not about maximum grip - it’s a matter of right grip.
Even my CX-9 handled the Blue Ridge mountains nicely. However, I was shocked to be smelling the brakes on a spirited family drive.
I sat in the "big" one, convertible. and I was looking over the windshield frame.
I always heard how great the miata is and kind of took it with a grain of salt... Last year I was finally in a time in my life where I could buy a fun car. Bought the first ND that I test drove. It's an AMAZING car. Don''t drive one unless you're ready to spend $25k on one.

Don't call it a "Miata", it's an MX-5!!!!!!! 😠 Joking aside, he's spot-on and I luv simple vehicles. That ride height is meh, and excessive camber can result in a dangerously small contact-patch. Good thing you have that roll-cage! :D
