To ask if somebody's pregnant is never a good idea. I and my husband tried to become parents for five years. Sometimes when people asked me if I was pregnant I felt like answering "Not now but I was for 18 weeks just until recently - glad you asked".

I have never understood the need for the question. What does a woman's pregnancy/non-pregnancy change for the person who asked? And also, clearly they didn't think before they just blurted out the question. What if the answer is NO? Then they are both placed in an awkward position. People should just completely stop asking this question altogether.
I met an associate in the store highly pregnant with twins and we talked. Still wouldn’t have commented. It’s just rude, even though it was very obvious and I’d already heard she was pregnant. It’s none of our business anyway
My best friend is in the same situation, she asked nicely people to not talk about her future babies and pregnancy, but some people is too dumb to understand or care.
Why would someone ask a celebrity if they’re pregnant, as if they’d tell some random fan before publicly announcing it?

Even if she was, that’s not a double standard, when a woman is pregnant, she has the right to announce it when & how she wants, & I don’t know anyone who would tell a complete stranger on Twitter, just because they asked, before they make their public announcement in whatever special way they decided, especially when they are a celebrity. Most like to do fun, creative announcements. You NEVER ask a woman if she’s pregnant, even if it seems obvious, because even then you could be wrong. It’s hurtful when you’re not pregnant, because they’re just calling you fat.

Recently there were people calling ariana grande fat so there's a special type of a mindset needed to comment such things.
Apparently, if you aren't a size 2 and have some cellulite or stretch marks, you're instantly deemed unworthy and bodyshamed.
i've always loved her because she's a celebrity but she isn't super skinny. i mean, she's pregnant with her 3rd kid but still seems so down-to-earth (about her body, at least)

Back when bars were a thing, I was drinking and smoking on the patio, when an old man started lecturing me about drinking and smoking while I'm pregnant. He was really passionate about it. I told him I'm just fat and that my babies are grown. He was immediately sorry and sweet after that :D NEVER assume that a woman is pregnant. It'll come back to bite you in the ass.

Well, you could probably confirm both questions!
The majority of women have that little pooch of extra padding around their belly as it is there to protect their uterus & ovaries so we can carry further the species and protect babies even more whilst in utero, plus we like to eat sometimes and that can cause a little bloating/full belly pooch. People should be proud of their little pooches, they're there for good reason!
First, I love your hair! Mine's only 4 colors LOL. Second, I had anorexia, and at age 14, 5'4", I weighed 80 lbs. When my pediatrician asked me why I thought I was fat, I told him it was because of the little pooch I had that I couldn't get to go away. He replied, "you will always have that there, because your organs have to have someplace to go." I'm now 41, still built small enough to wear girl's 14/16, junior's size 3 clothes--& still have that pooch, but I'll never forget his comment; letting me know there was nothing wrong with me, & that's simply how women's bodies are made. 💜

Plus the hips make a nice seat for babies if you decide to have them. I know my baby appreciates my curves. Comfy seating while I’m carrying him 😂

People body shaming women with dang near perfect bodies would have a field day with me. Yeah, I'm 40, fluffy, jiggly... still no complaints from the guys. She said "of course...your stomach has to protect your vital organs in somehow.
20 years of fat shaming myself went right out the window and I craved a pizza since then.

What's ironic is most of these celebrities, Orpah included, have been caught lying to their fans on Social Media, and they've been called out on it. It's just best not to idolize people, because eventually they'll disappoint you.

I really amazed, how people just straight up unsee that human spine is bend. Our back is not straight! The spines an S-Curve, and where the curve goes in at the back the belly goes out at front. Even if your belly is super straight, do you expect it to bend inwards so the natural curve of human spine don't cause this horrible view for you poor thing? What do they think where all our organs are?

Here’s a good answer she can give them the next time they ask that. As a woman our uterus leans outward slightly, hence the slight belly pooch. And you can’t really suck in your uterus.

I gained weight almost 3yrs ago. For 2yrs my mother in law kept asking if I was pregnant, despite me telling her I take a depo shot, now it is an iud. So I know the feeling when you are just simply fat not pregnant.
That’s so rude of her. Be careful though because my first kid is failed Depo shot and my 3rd is failed IUD. If you really don’t want to be pregnant I advise (unless you already are) making sure he protects too. Unsolicited advice. I just wish I was told that. Love my kids. Just wasn’t prepared at all.

i'm so sorry. whenever i eat or iam close to /on my period, i bloat. a lot. to the point where a person asked if i was pregnant. It is so annoying to be asked that question because it always makes us feel like we're not pretty enough
