Today was the last day of Songkran in Bangkok so I headed to Silom to meet Opal from @opalstoryofficial as we tried to eat street food and failed miserably!
We also bumped into by my good friends @hiddenbangkok8378@Emilysrichala. @danny_and_diggy @NativeFarangand many more to celebrate and it was the best new year to date!

Once again-too much fun to be had! Loved Opal, will sub to her! Ice cold water to cool off with for at LEAST 3 or 4 minutes 😂. I grew up in this climate so I know it! And I love what we Americans call Hawaiian shirts you guys probably call them tropical maybe? 🤷♀️so colorful. Here there’s an attitude in certain people but there it’s celebrated-as they should be! What? No bite of chicken for us?🥴🤨😂😂😂happy Songkran❤️❤️❤️
Hey Gary, quick tip. As your Thai improves, and I see it is improving, try to use the intensifier “Maak” มาก, a lot less. Foreigners learning Thai always fall into this trap. Thai’s actually use a vast variety of intensifiers rather than using Maak all the time.

Next Songkran, I would like to recommend you to go and live with Thai people in another provinces to join them and the people in the area as they have many more details that will give you a real experience of everything related to Songkran. It's not just about playing water wars alone. There's a lot more to it than just playing water wars. And you will get the experience and deep truth of this festival. It's Family Day, April 13, 14, 15, every year and these three days are divided into many family activities, some of which I think you've never heard of before. And once you experience it, you will be happier than the water battle. The water battle is not destination of Songkran festival for all of Thai people.😊😊

Songkran can be great fun but I definitely wouldn’t be eating out there. The bins or barrels they use are the same ones they put they rubbish in hence why so many eye infections after songkran.
