      You are right. Also everybody says they cheated. When they took steroids, steroids weren’t banned by mlb. They took advantage of system that was in place. So the writers will keep them out of the hall of fame. Why didn’t they keep all of the players in ‘70’s out when a bunch of them were on drugs? A bunch of hypocrites. The reason baseball is popular again is because of these players.

      That's not exactly true. Those records were set without PEDs, allegedly, meaning that they can be achieved without using PEDs. Pete Rose should be in the Hall of Fame. No argument there. All he ever did was bet for his team to win. We have players turning themselves into the Hulk trying to cheat the game, and we ban a guy for having faith in his team? Ridiculous that Barry Bonds and A-Rod are seen as baseball elite, and Pete Rose gets tossed aside. It’s sad.

    • @ryanaltfillisch7155
      @ryanaltfillisch7155 Před 6 lety

      No one would argue that Rose was a HOF talent, but he doesn't deserve to be there while alive. Period. He broke the rule that is posted in every single dugout in the majors and minors with clearly listed penalties for breaking that rule. He lied about his gambling for years and only admitted it so that he could sell memorabilia. He has been given chances to be taken off the permanent eligibility list, but he has never changed his ways. It sucks that he won't be in the HOF for a long time, but what's sad is people are putting that on the MLB and the HOF even though Rose brought this on all himself. The MLB and HOF didn't force Rose to commit the cardinal sin of baseball. He willingly chose it and now must face the consequences of that choice.

    People have been betting on baseball for the entire existence on it. Rose deserves the HOF because even though he bet on the games he bet for his own team to win, he never threw any games and he's the greatest hitter of all time. Go ahead and tell me I'm wrong but I'd like to see any of you get that many hits in one lifetime

    • @ryanaltfillisch7155
      @ryanaltfillisch7155 Před 6 lety +1

      He's not the greatest hitter of all time. He may have more hits than Cobb, but Cobb was still a better hitter. Rose only got the hits record by sticking around to play at the age of 44 and 45 as a subpar player. If he weren't the player-manager, most managers would have benched or cut him due to his ineffectiveness. Rose only has 65 more hits than Cobb, but he also played in about 500 more games and had 2,600 more at bats to break that record. There's a reason Cobb still holds the record for best career batting average while Rose is tied for 173rd, and that's because Cobb was a better hitter than Rose. Period.

      Dynasty Gaming yea but steroids makes a lot of long fly balls that would be outs into HR. Yea it's not easy and he was still a very good player but roids definitely made him better. Also it's the principle, he cheated which is immoral and discredits baseball

    Of course everyone in the comments are calling Bonds, A-Rod, Sosa, etc. cheaters. How is it cheating when everyone was taking PEDs? Not even the so-called clean ones, were clean. Take Cal Ripken for example. You think he played 2,632 consecutive games without taking a single PED substance? You're crazy if you think he didn't.

      musiq Khid is that so? Well first and foremost I’m entitled to my opinion so you can just drop dead of the coronavirus if you don’t like what I have to say. Second, if he will always be the homerun king then why isn’t he in the hall of fame yet? See if you hit nearly 800 career homeruns that would justify a spot in the hall of fame for anyone but yet he’s not in. See everyone knows Bonds is a cheater because he took steroids and for you to come at me the way you did tells me you’re probably a cheater yourself. You have a losers mentality

    • @TheAnswerToIs-uk5fq
      @TheAnswerToIs-uk5fq Před 4 lety

      Alex D whatever? That’s the best argument you’ve got? Lol what a loser! Do you think using steroids justifies having any kind of record? Pete Rose has been banned for life for simply betting on baseball but yet these drug addict cheaters only get half season suspensions and are still allowed to play baseball. Do you think that’s right? If you do you’re more drugged up then Bonds has ever been!
