To be honest, it wasn’t until Frieza and Cell that Goku being merciful was a problem. It’s a lesson that should have stick after the fight with Cell when it pushed Gohan off the edge and costed his own life.

It was still selfish, but had more short and long term benefits than Vegeta prior to the Namek Arc. As for Raditz, while I have no actual justification outside of being blood related, Goku made up for when he gives his life to allow Piccolo to get the killing blow. That and Raditz begging for his life and appealing to his better nature (something Frieza doesn’t take advantage outside of it being in Goku’s character).

I could see this be either a neutral or a bad ending. Neutral if Vegeta spares the Z warriors after killing Frieza and thr z warrors basically train very very hard and have to accidentally fight the andriods. But bad if Vegeta ends up killing them, and leaving earth vulnerable to the near threats
Goku kind of spares freiza during the initial ssj transformation too when he lets him power up to full power , he could have instead finished him off very easily .
With roshi being the one acception to most of these scenarios, it should also be pointed out that there is a good chance the androids would still counter this because 1. Dr gero knew all of the z fighters techniques and would warn the androids about it or give them a way to counter it like piccolo and frost would do, and 2. There are simply two of them so as soon as one gets sealed the other gets furious and kills roshi before they could get sealed away to. The second option also applies to other sagas as the secondary villains could rush master roshi and free whoever got sealed away

Actually, if Vegeta died before the "Frieza saga" the Ginyu force wouldn't have come to Namek since Vegeta was the reason why Frieza wanted them to come to begin with.
You may be misunderstanding. The point is that Vegeta needs to be alive for Gohan and Krillin to survive. And The Ginyu force needs to be activated to help Goku get stronger

Ya know, I really do love how Goku’s mercy and compassion really does lead to the survival of the Earth, NUMEROUS times. I know in recent discourse, Goku’s thirst for battle does indeed put the Earth in jeopardy time and time again…but it’s his compassion and thirst for battle the reason that the God damn planet still exists.

It isn't so much that i don't want Goku to show mercy. I like when Goku gives people a chance to turn their life around. Rather its, that i want to see Goku "Not holding back" in fights. Honestly Goku convincing Krillin to spare Vegeta was one of the best decisions he ever made. Vegeta did so many things in the Namek saga which paved the way for Goku & the others to beat Frieza and his army.
I think I can form a fanfiction without negative outcomes based on your video , Goku kills Piccolo Jr and there's no Dragon Balls so when Raditz arrives and kidnap Gohan , Goku gathers all the Z Fighters to fight Raditz including Master Roshi and Yajirobe and it might end up to Tienshenhan to using him full Tri Beam on both Raditz and Goku in order to defeat Raditz , in Raditz last breaths he tells the Z Fighters about the Saiyans who are coming to invade earth , Goku and some other Z Fighters who were killed against Raditz may get to use Snake Way for King Kai and since Goku is not alone possibly is accompanied by Yamcha and Chaosu then they can reach to King Kai faster , the surviving Z Fighters can train Gohan on the lookout and since there is no Dragon Balls , Fortune Tellar Baba would grand Goku and Yamcha a day to just fight the Saiyans during the year before Vegeta and Nappa would arrive , Bluma would have studied in Kami's library and found out about Namek because she was so upset about Yamcha's death despite their breakup , the Saiyans will be defeated, by the time the Battle ends , Bluma uses the Namekian Dragon Balls to revive Goku , Yamcha , and Chaosu and she even takes Dendi to be the next guardian and Nail comes with Dendi because he doesn't trust that Bluma woman , Frieza would notice that Vegeta , Nappa , and Raditz were all killed on the same planet so he sends Zarbon and Dodoria alongside other henchmen , King Kai inform The Z Fighters about Frieza coming to earth and the Z Fighters train using the Gravity Room while learning the Kaioken to get ready for the Frieza Force. Zarbon and Dodoria will be eliminated which would result into Frieza and the Ginyu Force to come to Earth , if the Z Fighters managed to survive and defeat Frieza then this could lead to the Androids being much more powerful because of all the DNA that was collected and the knowledge of SSJ since Goku transformed on Earth rather than Namek. Goku never went to Space which would result to never getting the heart virus, the Androids would arrive and confront Goku and Goku would retreat with most of the Z Fighters as soon as he realises that they can't win , they take turns in the Room of Spirit and Time until they become stronger and defeat the Androids , Bluma would have figured Gero and The Z Fighters would have hunted him down and destroying him alongside his lab and Cell. Goku and Gohan would have achieved SS2 during the time skip and by the time Babadi and Dabura arrives , they are easily taken care of and the Supreme Kai offers Goku to train him using the Z Swords , Goku and the Z Fighters accept leading all of them to unlock their potential , sadly Goku catches the heart virus because he went to space and dies in the process , when Beerus wakes up and look for SSG then he will only find Gohan , Goten , Broly , and Tarble as the only Saiyans left alive and He might even grab Goku from the otherworld since Goku was the one defeat Frieza and stopped Buu's resurrection , Goku would achieve the SSG and fight Beerus. Goku , Gohan , and Broly would train on Beerus's Planet and Frieza wouldn't be revived since the Z Fighters are much more alerted and they will eliminate Frieza's Soliders on sight , the Z Fighters might even track down the rest of Frieza Soliders and finish them of. There might be no Zamasu Arc since there's no Time travelling involved. The only problem with the Tournament Of Power since Piccolo , Vegeta , And The Androids are dead. Universe 7 might lose the Tournament Of Power and that's end of my story.

The Frieza death at 9:20 would be so fucking savage man. Goku just immediately assassinating Frieza after being brought back is such a hilarious thing to think about
If we're being real, Goku should've challenged Frieza to a 1v1 fight to the death once the ToP was finished. And since Frieza was already dead at that point, he would've done the MULTIVERSE a favor by erasing his ass from existence. Then again, Vegeta would obviously take that chance to kill Frieza, but he'd probably be proud of Kakarot for killing Frieza, with no hope of returning.
Goku won't really kill vegeta in the buu saga, he'll just knock him out hard. (Because remember goku and vegeta didn't yet establish a friendship but they both still have a rivalry, so long story short, goku kicks vegeta in the balls before buu hatches from a ball)
What if DBS was written better? That's a better question 😁 or what if Vegeta actually beat a main villain? What if Vegeta stopped chasing Goku, to become stronger than him? What if Cell returned vs frieza?
Without vegeta stealing the dragonballs, frieza wouldn't really have to call the ginyu force and krillin and gohan can basically wait for goku since frieza don't know how to use the namekian dragon balls.
If Goku didn't show any mercy. The timeline itself would be darker than the Future Trunks timeline. It's crazy how everything would collapse if Goku didn't show mercy. If Vegeta died there's a good chance Gohan and Krillin would have died sooner. If Piccolo died then Gohan wouldn't the man who would defeat Cell. Hell, Goku without mercy wouldn't help Gohan reach ssj2. Gohan would have been mini Vegeta.

@@QaamansLand Majin Vegeta I have to disagree with you. If Goku killed Vegeta and went back to take care of Babidi and the crew. The Supreme Kai would be dead. Magic users will always have the last laugh against Z Warriors. Future Trunks killed Dabura but lost Supreme Kai thanks to Babidi's trickery. Also, Goku wouldn't have been able to Trunks and Goten the fusion dance. If a majority threat like Frezia came back.

3:52 i kinda disagree, i feel like Krillin and Gohan would play a more cat and mouse against them, similar to Krillin running from 2nd form frieza in the anime. Since theyd be smart enough to just hide the dragon balls with them in their suppressed state. Then they wait for goku to arrive... They dig up the dragon balls then all that occurs since Krillin and gohan could probably handle Ginyu goku regardless. Not sure about what happens to Jeice though.
Objections... -Piccolo: Gohan still gets enraged when Raditz is about to kill Goku. So, after Gohan's angry attack, Raditz decides to kill Gohan all the same, fearing how powerful he might become when he grows up. -Vegeta: Without Vegeta interfering with Freeza's plans, Freeza doesn't feel the need to call the Ginyus. And I don't think Gohan or Krillin are stupid enough to challenge Freeza's forces directly. So for a few days (until the scouters Freeza ordered arrive), the heroes just hide while Dodoria and Zarbon roam the planet, looking for the last Dragon Ball. When Freeza gets the new scouters, Dodoria and Zarbon find Guru's house but are killed by Nail. Seeing their energies disappearing on the scouter, Freeza goes to see what happened. At around the same time, Goku arrives, and if he's serious from the beginning, he kills Freeza before he can transform. Everyone is revived, and the heroes go back to Earth. Future Bulma warns them about the Androids. Everybody trains for 3 years, but Goku (even if he has unlocked Super Saiyan in the meantime) dies at the hands of Nineteen, since there is no Vegeta, and Piccolo (who hasn't fused with Nail or Kami) isn't strong enough to save him either. Nineteen and Twenty rule the universe, and the other Androids are never activated. -Majin Vegeta: In your scenario, Fat Buu wouldn't be there to enrage Beerus, so he has no reason to destroy the Earth. Also, with no Goku, Zamasu doesn't act, and Zeno never organizes a tournament. I don't know what happens with Moro, because I haven't watched that part. -Freeza: If Goku had killed Freeza on Namek, he wouldn't have fought him later on Earth. Main reason I like GT is because of how Goku learned to show no mercy to the villains he knew wouldn’t change, his kill against Ice Shenron is still my favorite Goku kill just because of how overboard he did it, man punched a hole in his chest and followed up with a Dragon Fist 😂
So in the time line where Goku kills Dr.Gero, what happens to the computer that created Cell and that version of Cell? And wouldn't Cell from the future still travel to the past, but even if he cant get stronger he would be stronger than everyone else.
And if Goku showed no mercy to Jiren then either he kills Jiren and Universe 7 gets erased/disqualified or manages to force Jiren out of the ring and Universe 7 wins depending on when he does it in the tournament.

Ya know, I really do love how Goku’s mercy and compassion really does lead to the survival of the Earth, NUMEROUS times.
I know in recent discourse, Goku’s thirst for battle does indeed put the Earth in jeopardy time and time again…but it’s his compassion and thirst for battle the reason that the God damn planet still exists.
goku only needed to be ruthless once. he needed to kill Vegeta the moment he had the chance when he first came back to Earth in the Cell Arc. after that, everything would have worked out fine.

What if Kami fused with Piccolo after the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai, shortly after Piccolo was defeated and was unconscious? Instead of Kami trying to kill him, he could have fused with him and maybe he was the dominant personality. Still the Kami of the Earth, but waaay stronger. We need a what if!

It isn't so much that i don't want Goku to show mercy. I like when Goku gives people a chance to turn their life around.
Rather its, that i want to see Goku "Not holding back" in fights. By that i mean truly going all out from the start and not taking his sweet time "feeling out his opponent". Ugh, no. Goku, that guy is going to destroy the whole universe if you don't stop him. And probably grow even more powerful during the fight's progression. Be efficient and get the job done.

Honestly Goku convincing Krillin to spare Vegeta was one of the best decisions he ever made. Vegeta did so many things in the Namek saga which paved the way for Goku & the others to beat Frieza and his army.
I think I can form a fanfiction without negative outcomes based on your video , Goku kills Piccolo Jr and there's no Dragon Balls so when Raditz arrives and kidnap Gohan , Goku gathers all the Z Fighters to fight Raditz including Master Roshi and Yajirobe and it might end up to Tienshenhan to using him full Tri Beam on both Raditz and Goku in order to defeat Raditz , in Raditz last breaths he tells the Z Fighters about the Saiyans who are coming to invade earth , Goku and some other Z Fighters who were killed against Raditz may get to use Snake Way for King Kai and since Goku is not alone possibly is accompanied by Yamcha and Chaosu then they can reach to King Kai faster , the surviving Z Fighters can train Gohan on the lookout and since there is no Dragon Balls , Fortune Tellar Baba would grand Goku and Yamcha a day to just fight the Saiyans during the year before Vegeta and Nappa would arrive , Bluma would have studied in Kami's library and found out about Namek because she was so upset about Yamcha's death despite their breakup , the Saiyans will be defeated, by the time the Battle ends , Bluma uses the Namekian Dragon Balls to revive Goku , Yamcha , and Chaosu and she even takes Dendi to be the next guardian and Nail comes with Dendi because he doesn't trust that Bluma woman , Frieza would notice that Vegeta , Nappa , and Raditz were all killed on the same planet so he sends Zarbon and Dodoria alongside other henchmen , King Kai inform The Z Fighters about Frieza coming to earth and the Z Fighters train using the Gravity Room while learning the Kaioken to get ready for the Frieza Force.
Zarbon and Dodoria will be eliminated which would result into Frieza and the Ginyu Force to come to Earth , if the Z Fighters managed to survive and defeat Frieza then this could lead to the Androids being much more powerful because of all the DNA that was collected and the knowledge of SSJ since Goku transformed on Earth rather than Namek.
Goku never went to Space which would result to never getting the heart virus, the Androids would arrive and confront Goku and Goku would retreat with most of the Z Fighters as soon as he realises that they can't win , they take turns in the Room of Spirit and Time until they become stronger and defeat the Androids , Bluma would have figured Gero and The Z Fighters would have hunted him down and destroying him alongside his lab and Cell.
Goku and Gohan would have achieved SS2 during the time skip and by the time Babadi and Dabura arrives , they are easily taken care of and the Supreme Kai offers Goku to train him using the Z Swords , Goku and the Z Fighters accept leading all of them to unlock their potential , sadly Goku catches the heart virus because he went to space and dies in the process , when Beerus wakes up and look for SSG then he will only find Gohan , Goten , Broly , and Tarble as the only Saiyans left alive and He might even grab Goku from the otherworld since Goku was the one defeat Frieza and stopped Buu's resurrection , Goku would achieve the SSG and fight Beerus.
Goku , Gohan , and Broly would train on Beerus's Planet and Frieza wouldn't be revived since the Z Fighters are much more alerted and they will eliminate Frieza's Soliders on sight , the Z Fighters might even track down the rest of Frieza Soliders and finish them of.
There might be no Zamasu Arc since there's no Time travelling involved.
The only problem with the Tournament Of Power since Piccolo , Vegeta , And The Androids are dead.
Universe 7 might lose the Tournament Of Power and that's end of my story.

If we're being real, Goku should've challenged Frieza to a 1v1 fight to the death once the ToP was finished. And since Frieza was already dead at that point, he would've done the MULTIVERSE a favor by erasing his ass from existence. Then again, Vegeta would obviously take that chance to kill Frieza, but he'd probably be proud of Kakarot for killing Frieza, with no hope of returning.

Goku won't really kill vegeta in the buu saga, he'll just knock him out hard. (Because remember goku and vegeta didn't yet establish a friendship but they both still have a rivalry, so long story short, goku kicks vegeta in the balls before buu hatches from a ball)
What if DBS was written better? That's a better question 😁 or what if Vegeta actually beat a main villain?

If Vegeta died there's a good chance Gohan and Krillin would have died sooner. If Piccolo died then Gohan wouldn't the man who would defeat Cell.
Hell, Goku without mercy wouldn't help Gohan reach ssj2. Gohan would have been mini Vegeta.

@@QaamansLand Majin Vegeta I have to disagree with you. If Goku killed Vegeta and went back to take care of Babidi and the crew. The Supreme Kai would be dead.
Magic users will always have the last laugh against Z Warriors. Future Trunks killed Dabura but lost Supreme Kai thanks to Babidi's trickery.
Also, Goku wouldn't have been able to Trunks and Goten the fusion dance. If a majority threat like Frezia came back.

3:52 i kinda disagree, i feel like Krillin and Gohan would play a more cat and mouse against them, similar to Krillin running from 2nd form frieza in the anime.
Since theyd be smart enough to just hide the dragon balls with them in their suppressed state. Then they wait for goku to arrive... They dig up the dragon balls then all that occurs since Krillin and gohan could probably handle Ginyu goku regardless. Not sure about what happens to Jeice though.

Objections...
-Piccolo: Gohan still gets enraged when Raditz is about to kill Goku. So, after Gohan's angry attack, Raditz decides to kill Gohan all the same, fearing how powerful he might become when he grows up.
-Vegeta: Without Vegeta interfering with Freeza's plans, Freeza doesn't feel the need to call the Ginyus. And I don't think Gohan or Krillin are stupid enough to challenge Freeza's forces directly. So for a few days (until the scouters Freeza ordered arrive), the heroes just hide while Dodoria and Zarbon roam the planet, looking for the last Dragon Ball.
When Freeza gets the new scouters, Dodoria and Zarbon find Guru's house but are killed by Nail. Seeing their energies disappearing on the scouter, Freeza goes to see what happened. At around the same time, Goku arrives, and if he's serious from the beginning, he kills Freeza before he can transform. Everyone is revived, and the heroes go back to Earth.
Future Bulma warns them about the Androids. Everybody trains for 3 years, but Goku (even if he has unlocked Super Saiyan in the meantime) dies at the hands of Nineteen, since there is no Vegeta, and Piccolo (who hasn't fused with Nail or Kami) isn't strong enough to save him either. Nineteen and Twenty rule the universe, and the other Androids are never activated.
-Majin Vegeta: In your scenario, Fat Buu wouldn't be there to enrage Beerus, so he has no reason to destroy the Earth. Also, with no Goku, Zamasu doesn't act, and Zeno never organizes a tournament. I don't know what happens with Moro, because I haven't watched that part.
-Freeza: If Goku had killed Freeza on Namek, he wouldn't have fought him later on Earth. Some people theorize that fight with Mecha Freeza and King Cold on Earth is what caused the symptoms of his heart virus to appear earlier in the future timeline. Is it possible that, if he didn't have to fight those two on Earth, or if he had to fight only King Cold, he would have stayed alive long enough to help against the Future Andoids?
-Gero: Even if they had gotten rid of the Androids the way you described, Cell would have still come from the future. And without anyone having trained, he would have killed them all without needing to absorb any Android. Cell then destroys the Earth and goes to explore the universe.

So in the time line where Goku kills Dr.Gero, what happens to the computer that created Cell and that version of Cell? And wouldn't Cell from the future still travel to the past, but even if he cant get stronger he would be stronger than everyone else.
