Zamyatin in Jesmond

Yevgeny Zamyatin - revolutionary, engineer, satirist, and pioneering dystopian novelist - lived in Jesmond for a year from 1916 to 1917. Keith Jewitt summarises what we know about that year, and how it may have affected him as a writer and thinker.
