The irony is that this protest most likely resulted in the burning of more oil due to increasing people's journey times by creating more traffic.

I think my brother was about three years old when he decided to "protest" by throwing himself on the floor and kicking and screaming. I threw about eight ounces of cold water in his face - and he never (to my knowledge) ever pulled that stunt again.

I was involved YEARS ago in a Vietnam war protest. We stood on the SIDE of the road with our signs. People drove by and either gave us a thumbs up, or the finger. We did not stop people from going about their business. People saw our message and that was all we were there to do.

I really like that second sign from the left that says 15 degrees warmer will not be business as usual. Where I live, the average daily temperature is 30 to 40° lower than it was 4 years ago here. Everyday, we make a point to say, "I'm really feeling that global warming."

There is an injunction on them they face prosecution if they protest near an oil refinery or anywhere like that or related but there is no injunction to them blocking traffic in city centres or towns.
