    You are better off with a ball of stainless steel wool wrapped around a big gas lens on the end of your purge hose instead of a cloth rag to diffuse the flow of argon. Cloth can be damp from humidity and you don't want any water liquid or vapor in the argon purge gas. Water is hydrogen and oxygen both of which will contaminate the molten metal. I wrap the stainless wool around the lens with fine stainless wire to hold it together and you can lay it on something hot to drive out any moisture before use. The gas hose can be clamped to the end of the lens where it screws into the torch. Also watch out for any oil of any kind inside any pipe you are purging you need clean and dry everything. Mike C

      @TheWeldLab  Před 4 lety

      ohh yeah i usetoo use that all the time ..only reason i dont do that anymore is because on the field sometimes i can only purge from a 3/4 olet and my aragon hose wont fit with that stainless wool..but i appreciate you teach me and other on why is best to use other methods!

    Nice video, but I like to to weld SCH 10 with 2mm or 1.6mm filler for the root. You don't have to weave it that wide because the gap is smaller and after the root, the pipe is already flushed out and ready to be capped.
    Each to their own bro, but you should try it!

    Ya those energy drinks will kill you! I use to drink two a day and a shot of pre workout after work before I hit the gym. Cause my heart to have afib and went into congestive heart failure. I had my heart shocked twice then had a surgery on my heart witch was called an Oblation. So they burned on my heart around the valves to cause scare tissue so the electricity can flow correctly.. Really sucked to have To go through that and still have to deal with stuff after the fact and I was in my 30’s when that happened. So definitely stay away from those stimulants/ “energy drinks “ not good at ALL!!
