Hi, you are absolutely right about the dust extractor, its terrible. Did your friend share the files online? Would you know where to find them? Thanks!

Hiya....it wasn't a friend of mine that printed the file it was someone on CZcams that mentioned it.
If I can find the video again I'll let you know but it was some guy talking about this specific planer.

If you raise the head up to the highest cut, will the out feed table lift up for storage?

No it won't unfortunately.... it does allow it to close up that little bit further though.

Deano you need to get the lumberjack BDE1200 that’s what I use on my titan thicknesser / planer and for my evolution table saw plus miter saw
That metabo looks a meaty tool might be interested in that one

Yeah that lumberjack BDE1200 looks like a beefy hoover with a good size hose....Can you use those hoovers without a bag bag inside do you know?
I wonder why Lumberjack do a 1100w and a 1200w version of what looks like the same hoover.....Any ideas?....Seems silly to have two different hoovers with only 100w difference.
First impressions on the Metabo are good but i cant compare to others on the market having not used them.
      Thanks for watching Phil.

@@dodgydino62 ok so no bag inside I got the 1200 bigger motor if you look on my channel you will see mine I’ve put mine on wheels as it’s easier to move around as most of my cutting and shaping etc is done out side as my workshop is only small.
I can highly recommend it if there is a down fall it’s the pipe is black would have preferred clear but it can be replaced and no wheels but again it’s easy to remedy

Sounds good Phil.... Certainly an option if my little shop vac starts to fail me.

I had that Lumberjack extractor - it died after 6 months of light use. Managed to get my money back but Lumberjack weren't really interested in helping. There's several identical machines which look like the same manufacturer - Scheppach do one for sure. I ended up going for a Record Power dual motor and it lives up to its reputation. Expensive, but fantastic for dust and chips.

@@ohallifax that’s poor I must have been lucky then and got a good one it’s always thought provoking when you’ve had good equipment then some says they had trouble with the same product, I can only say it’s the luck of the draw isn’t it
