This particular model is the top of the range Intens, with the additional Intens optional pack including the upgraded Driver and Infotainment display. Sells for just under R350 000.

    I want to disagree with you on power. This car in 5th gear WITH eco mode on, pulls away very very well on the highway!

    Really looks good, but Renault should have added their EDC box that would make it a good contender to the Polo, the blank buttons is also a really frustrating thing in your line of sight, but its the same in the polo

      100% it's the top of the line model, you shouldn't be seeing any blank buttons. The auto box would would be game changing for it. Thanks for the comment!

      @@GregDennisReviews I am driving the Clio e-tech with the (then) highest equipment stage intens. I don´t have any blank buttons honestly.🤨The buttons are for seat heating (left and right), electric driving, 360 cam, etc. Could it be, that renault is currently skipping on those equipment because they don´t have the necessary parts? There is a lot of downgrading going on right now with many manufacturers because of missing equipment parts. (If they still sell the car for the same price like those with full equipment, i would probably not buy it rn.) The e-tech also comes with dog clutch (??) hybrid-gear box and the intens 130 with edc. So it is available? Or am I confused and EDC Box means something else in this case? What is an auto box? We usually don´t have those in my country i think so I am really curios right now. Can you explain pls?

      I haven't driven the manual one yet, but the X-Tronic was superb. I guess it depends on the driver... it's hard to notice that the X-Tronic is a CVT, so that says a lot.

    I'm late to this review but great video. Would u recommend upgrading to this model from a Renault Clio GT Line 2018? Just wondering if the Intense lacks that pull away power. Also GT line has 6 gears vs 5 gears on the Intense. Gt line is 1.2ltr with 88kw and 190Nm while Intense is 1ltr 74kw 160NM. Seems like it's lacking that punch. Pros would of course be the Tech but that Novalty will wear off. Would this be a worthy upgrade?

      While this new Clio is quick off the mark and quite agile, you'll definitely feel a difference coming from your quicker GT Line. And with the 6-gears you'll get better consumption too. So if i was you, i wouldn't. But a warranty plan coming to an end might change my mind.

      Handling is better than the polo imo. Got experience with the 9N3, Golf V, Golf VI, Golf VII and Clio IV and Clio V e-tech and personally liked the Clios best. Would never choose a Polo as my private car.

      @@KazunaiOwO Yeah had the exact same experience with the 9N3 every single time. Same thing with the successor model. Polo was lame, spongy driving and finally got crashed by a friend because apparently you can´t take a slight road bend with more than 70 km/h because the car flys right of the road.
      Let´s settle on this. You like Polo, which is fine. I like Clio which is fine, too. You buy Polo, I buy Clio and everybody is happy.

      The general consensus is that the Clio is more sporty and the Polo is more comfy. So, it depends what you prefer. But in general, when takking "handling", the Clio seems to be the better of the two. However, the Polo apparently is also pretty good and might be better for long distance, since the suspension is more setup towards comfort, while the Clio can feel slightly stiff and is not as well as the Polo in filtering out imperfections on the road.

      And the handling of the Clio is nowhere near as good as the fiesta. And the Ford is 6x nicer looking to

    Problems?... What are the problems with this car, I am about to make a purchase for this vehicle... I love everything about it but my brothers keep telling me it's a shit car to buy because of the negative reviews the previous versions had. Should things go well this should be my first car ever. please help with honest opinions, and if your a polo fan please don't try persuading me... Polo's are high risk vehicles and high maintenance as well so please polo fans steer clear. What am I getting myself into? Would be great to get feedback from current owners as well. Please help... I'm in love 🤫😅🥹

      You're going to love it, it's way better than the previous version. The only negative would be that fuel consumption isn't that low... but it's average. Not a deal breaker because it's a great car to drive. I'm not a Polo fan-boy at all. and you're getting a 5-year/150 000km warranty.
