Nice Vid, and nice choice of bird! I really like this plane. Lots of people seem to prefer Emil but I’ve had good battles in this one too and recently specialized it. But.. I stopped with this one and went over to Zwilling. That will take about 74K XP, btw. It is 40..K from the Me 410 but more if you cut over from this plane. I’ve heard Gustav is tricky but I’ve not flown that one. Appreciate the content sir o>

The MGs have 440m range. The optimum range is about 400m - hold fire until then, and you'll get max DPS. Also, the 109 line has excellent yaw, and merely OK pitch. Use your rudder!
Just think, thats how well I did with the pilot at 85%! But yeah, the biggest issue id say ive always had is awareness of the map. Most of the time I pan the camera around to watch my surroundings. And uh, im used to the P51s, so learning not to head on in the 109s hasnt quite stuck yet

Sir, in your opinion, which plane is better, Bf 109 E Emil or Bf 109 E-3 with Hans Weber? E-3 has superior speed (I've even tested it and its speed is +9% comparing to Emil), however obviously it's armament is worse, though overheat time of Emil's 20mms is 4 seconds and E-3's - 5 seconds, 1 second more. And also when dives, E-3 tears everything apart.
I didn't know the accuracy of guns goes down above the optimal altitude. Where's the logic in that, as long as firearms can fire in open space without any issues))
It was part of the "balancing" they did when they added the bands in the first place. I thought they might have changed it with 2.0, XBK confirmed it is present still.
Who is XBK is he a world of warplanes team employee? Or just community contributor , he also claims on discord that air-defens aircraft spots and that is not true , I'm interested in where he wrote that about guns accuracy , if you can tell me I would like to read it
@majorpain_26 Both basically. He is a team member but is over the customer facing side of things. He was incorrect about the aircraft but in his defense he qualified his statement when he made it that he was operating from memory and was not 100% sure on that aspect. I'm out of town on a work trip (these videos were pre-scheduled), but I'll do some digging when I get back to get you a link to the accuracy statement.

Gustav is a little tricker. Performance is fine but the 30mm hub gun is tricker to use.

IME, the tech tree Emil is better, because the guns are better.
The general concensus is the tree version I superior. The E-3 is still a solid performer though, especially with Weber at the controls.
