Out to dinner with some new friends Tim, Kyle, and David. We talked over dinner about our favorite drinks and the subject of Wild Turkey 101 came up as a topic of conversation. We all felt that this spirit is often overlooked and under-rated. When you actually try it and stack it up agains other more expensive bottles it definitely holds its own. You don’t have to break the bank for a high quality bourbon. Thanks for the amusing and entertaining content.
My Uncle Lee, God rest his soul, drank Wild Turkey. One of his favorite lines to whoever was making the drinks was “Give me a feather off that turkey”. Just brings back good memories.

I used to really dislike 101 like 15 years ago when I first had it but it's really very good. I still get tired of it fast but it's very high quality.

Evan Williams 1783 is 🔥
I passed it up many times and now that I've finally tried it, it's my new favorite budget pour. It reminds me of the Heaven Hill Bottled In Bond 7 year, but for less than half the price. It's a slightly lower proof than the Evan Williams Bottled In Bond but it has a much better flavor in my opinion.
I almost fell off my rocker, tripped on a gizzard, and threw up in my mouth a little bit when Old Tub kept showing up in Jeremy’s bracket! I wanted to like Old Tub so so bad just putting it out there and couldn’t do it. It was awful. It was like someone had an old bar of soap sitting in a bottle of bourbon. Turkey 101 Hallaler!!!! Old Forester 100 those two are my budget legends. You two rock! Loved the video! Blessings to you both!

I had never really tried Wild Turkey 101, until stocking up on a bunch of different bourbon's for COVID lock down. Always thought it was cheap and wouldn't be good. Out of all the different bourbon's I purchased, I ended up loving the Wild Turkey 101 and it is still a go to for me.
Turkey 101 made a huge impression on me in 1983, and still does! I have more than 100 bottles of various bourbons, but still enjoy WT 101 every few weeks as a quintessential bourbon that is just delicious!
I disagree on this. Both are my two go to boubons, but I really enjoy the EW. I drink both neat and am equally happy with either.
I've been a big fan of the Jim Beam Double Oaked for a few years, particularly for cocktails but it's a decent sipper too. The turkey 101 is awesome and I recently tried Early Times bottled in bond that was surprisingly good.
You two together is always fun but to see the transformation of Al was really fun. She got more comfortable with every taste.
years ago I drank Old Ezra 15 year old sour mash . 1980 it was &15.00 came in a wooden box .my friend and I would go to the state store in Ohio ,and pick out 3 or 4 bottles and do what your doing , tried Old Ezra , and liked it so much Id drink a shot in the morning before breakfast , great channel

If you're going with Very Old Barton, then you have to get the 100 proof version. It's still only $15-$20. I agree with your results though. Wild Turkey 101 is the best budget bourbon without question. I was happy to see it beat Evan Williams BIB in a direct comparison too. So many people try to push that one as better than WT101, but they're not even close imo.

Good Video. I have not had a lot of these but IMO the Jim Beam Double Oaked is the best bourbon in the blind with Four Roses being 2nd. I think Old Forester 86 is better than any of the ones I have tried and WT101 and EWBIB are ones I have tried..

I am a Russell’s hardcore lover, I started my bourbon journey 100 years ago 😂 with plain wild turkey rye which I don’t even think they make anymore. I love with all my tastebuds the Russell’s mashbill I have had them all but WT 101 repulses my tastebuds and I do not know why, it makes no sense but as soon as it hits my tongue I hurl. My budget bottles are OF 100 and WT101 rye, I could even make due if I had to with benchmark but they are so watered down. I appreciate your time and all of the collateral effectage with doing a blind this huge, thank you.

WT101 and Evan Williams Bib are two of my favorites. But I've been buying the occasional bottle of Old Barton 100 proof because of the $14 price (what I used to get EW white label for a couple years back).
Lol. Love it. Dickel and old grandad tend to make it to hunting camp frequently....but my favorites of your list is the old forester, 101, and four roses. Jeremy can't believe you don't like the roses..they tend to be so vanilla-ee. Elijah Craig is just a touch over the $25 budget but would have been a great contender. Heck ya guys!

Great video! I watched a couple other channels "March Madness" and enjoyed them, but nobody tops you on production quality and featuring the products with awesome shots. I was rooting for OF 100, but WT 101 certainly punches above its weight class. Side note- in the AG1 spot I thought you said it was "rectummended"🤣. Feel free to trademark and use that word, hahaha. Great video. Glad I found you guys. Kinda reminded me of an old Red Skelton skit based on What would it be like if you were allowed to sell (and taste) whiskey on TV? You guys got funnier and funnier as the video progressed. But it was great to find a cheaper alternative to my favorite (up to now, I suppose) of Knob Creek ($36 here). So liquor is costlier than what I was paying in Florida. Good to know there are some decent affordable whiskeys out there. (I'll have to try the Wild Turkey 101. It's been a long time since I've drank that, and apparently, it's still really good!) What am I smoking? Not cigars. Cornell & Diehl Chenet's Cake in a generic Danish-style pipe. It's a blend of Virginia & perique tobaccos.

I got a handle of Very Old Barton 86 for under $28, and I really like using it as a regular sipper in my mix. Maybe the extra proof does it better than the 80 proof.
I picked at the beginning of the video that Wild Turkey 101 will be the winner. WT101 has always been a favorite of mine above all others except for one, and that would Wild Turkey American Honey. WTAH will always be a favorite for me because it mashes with the honey better than all the rest. Fantastic video. Top tip .if you are a whiskey guy .and someone buys you a not too good bottle...pop an aniseed ball and a drizzle of honey in the bottle and leave for a few months. It magically becomes vanilla honey toffee apple. Candy sipping whiskey ..the amassed ball dosn't melt .it adds tho

Man this is my favorite video I've found for helping me. I'm new to exploring burbans and also new to watching/following CZcams. Have or can you do with with rye's. I have a bottle of wild turkey rye and love it wondering where I should go from there. Wild turkey rye is my very favorite right now out of everything I've tried. My budget has been between $20 to $50.

Very Old Barton is one of my favorites! I don't think it's a wheated bourbon though. I couldn't find much info on it, but I think it's the same mash as 1792. Great lineup!

In Australia between the import taxes and the dollar difference we struggle to buy cheap bourbon. Makers & 101 start around the $70 mark and Old Forester is over $100. Just makes you appreciate it even more, cheers🥃🇦🇺🥳

That's all I used to drink during my drinking years. I still have an unopened bottle of 121 proof Rare Breed Wild Turkey that was a gift from my friend who owned a liquor store. I've had it since around 1994 or so. 🙂
