I made a 12 days cruise on the MS Nordlys in February/March in the winter of 1997. I wanted to see Norway in winter. Starting in Bergen north to Kirkenes and back south to Trondheim, not till Bergen because I chose to go by train from Trondheim to Oslo. A beautiful ship back then. I was so gIad that I chose that ship. I had the time of my life and met a lot of very nice people, also a couple from the Isle of Man. We became friends for life until they passed away. Saw the Northern Lights for real for the first time. Unbelievable. The whole cruise was. The Lofoten and all the places on the route. I will never forget the food and friendly service on board and the excursions we made. Always wanted to go back and do it again in the summer season. Didn't happen yet😭
I was very happy to discover your video. A lot has changed on the ship, but somehow it is still "my Nordlys".
