- This is the MS Nordnorge, one of several Hurtigruten coastal cruise ferries that travel up and down the historic Norwegian coastal route year round: www.lifeinnorway.net/hurtigru...
The Nordnorge was built in 1997 and was substantially refurbished in 2016. It has beds for 476 people and a total passenger capacity of 590. If you’re considering the full 11-night roundtrip voyage from Bergen to Kirkenes to see the wonderful Norwegian coastline, this is what you can expect on board Hurtigruten's Nordnorge. Thanks for this - we were on her in January this year for our second BKB trip - and it's a nice reminder of how much we loved our time on her. I do recommend to anyone that they make their first BKB in the deep Norwegian winter - pure Christmas Card scenery
It does look amazing at that time of year I agree, but you do miss quite a lot as it's so dark. All the more reason to go on multiple trips :)

Thanks for this! We'll be doing the 2 day/1 night voyage Trondheim to Bergen on the Nordnorge in August. Do you know if we'll be able to bring our own snacks and drinks on board?
Yes you can, just not alcohol
Glad they have a Bistro as we are on the boats twice for 3 / 4 hours only during mostly non meal times. However we do have 1 hour for dinner in the restaurant. Wonder if it's really worth it. It must be an experience. Quite expensive though. Will check.

They are ferries rather than cruise ships, so make sure you check accommodation options and dining and pick based on your preferences. All Hurtigruten and Havila ships have their plus and minus points, so it depends what you want out of the experience.
